Saw the Femmes play the Bite of Oregon in 2005. Anyone who has yet to see them will not be disapoint. Considering they spent most of their early career playing street corners, I can't imagine they would suck live.

From my brief research it looks like the Femmes haven't played since 2007. That is pretty sweet. Imma go nuts during Blister in the Sun. Add it Up would be my mind losing song. I really, really hope they are at Sasquatch, but I'm not betting on it. and mine would be Kiss Off... GOD I FUCKING HOPE THEY'RE BOOKED FOR SASQUATCH.

Thanks FD. I'll jump on it.
Also, apparently The Shouting Matches are a blues band fronted by Justin Vernon...

People are raging over the lineup on the Facebook page... I wonder if they'll relax a little when they realize Skrillex is in Dog Blood.

Saw the Femmes play the Bite of Oregon in 2005. Anyone who has yet to see them will not be disapoint. Agreed. I saw them in the late 90's at the University of Calgary and the were stellar. Try not to miss them. I also just saw that The Make-Up are on the bill. Good stuff there as well.

Oh fuck it. Where do I start with Nick Cave? Grinderman is a more rocked out version of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and they only have two albums, put out in 2007 and 2010. You'll be sure to hear all their "hits" by listening to those albums. The Bad Seeds catalog is enormous. It's pretty much the same band though, Grinderman being dirtier and heavier rock. I've mentioned this before, but Nick Cave is basically a god. He writes amazing songs, scores, books, short stories, poems (maybe?), he's pretty much a genius. Plus he dominates the stage like none other. If you even remotely dug Jarvis Cocker's stage presence at Coachella last year, Nick Cave is a lot like that.

I think I'm going to have to go with Geno's pick first. I'll definitely do my homework though.

The only artist on this lineup that I'm interested in and haven't already seen is Lou Reed.
...you guys think Lou could headline Sasquatch?
...or sub?
...or just be in the campground with an acoustic guitar?

This is happening at Coachella. WHAT THE FUCK? Awesome. I think. These guys are so great. Definitely a strange fit for a festival, though.

As I've texted Paul Toilet earlier tonight, if you know nothing of Nick Cave, spend 12 minutes listening to "More News From Nowhere," followed by "No Pussy Blues." Then you'll understand the lyrical genius of Nick Cave on the former, and the dirty scratchy rock of Grinderman on the belt sander.
The Live Seeds album is basically a greatest hits, so I would recommend listening to the studio version of each song on that album. Those are his songs stuck in my head at all times.

Dead Can Dance (and Nick Cave) are more than anyone can expect from any lineup ever; aside from that, I'm not gonna read all these posts until tomorrow but my verdict is basically HAHA BURN. Squatch tickets are gonna be a hot commodity this year, I think.

However, if I paid eleventy billion dollars to go to Coachella and I got to hear Dead Can Dance play 'The Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove', that'd be eleventy billion dollars well spent.
This song has been at the core of my brain since I was like fifteen.

Okay, actually there's some incredible shit on there. Moby? The Femmes? God damn motherfuckin' Dead Can Dance. But that undercard peters out after the second tier. Honestly at first blush it looks like Sasquatch 2011.
