Souly, next time you're in Edmonton go to Mucho Burrito. There are at least 6 of them spread out around the city. They'll treat you right.
Only get the Mucho if you're feeling VERY hungry though. It's an adventure. I doubt Edson has anything better than Taco Bell

Two hours, which is not an acceptable drive for burritos.

I'm sure you can get some type of breakfast burrito at a truckstop around Edson. Failing that, there's always the frozen shit burritos at Walmart

Two hours, which is not an acceptable drive for burritos. When Chipotle was a new thing, my friends and I drove to Columbus from Cleveland (2.5 hours) solely to eat at Chipotle.

Me and my friends have actually gone to Calgary (3hrs away) on quite a few sundays to eat at The Smugglers Inn which has got to be one of the last standing traditional steak houses left standing. It's so gaudy in its opulent decor and everyone sits in wooden thrones. It looks like a place designed by Ron Swanson. It is awesome!

Smugglers is unreal. Unfortunately I have an ex that works there I really would rather not see so I haven't been in a while. So tragic. Thankfully I still have Ceasers.

That would be awkward. What is Caesars? I haven't heard of that place.
Wait...unless you meant the drink or the pizza place and if so, disregard.

Canadian burrito: eggs, salmon, cheese, pepper. Breakfast lunch and dinner served.
