A lot of us will be roadtripping to Sasquatch, and even those who aren't will probably have a 3 hour ish drive from SEATAC to the Gorge.
Whenever I do a road trip, I choose a theme song and create a new playlist for the trip. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Let's post road trip playlists here. The rules:
1. Must be predominately or entirely artists playing Sasquatch 2012. Can include other artists from previous years or otherwise, but let's focus on artists from this year's lineup.
2. Must stand on its own as a road trip play list. This means different things to different people, but that's part of the fun. If you usually organize your road trips around a mood / theme / genre, go for it. If you want multiple lists, go for it, but each has to completely stand on its own. You can't be lame and create a "part 1" and a "part 2" playlist.
3. Must be at least 10 songs long, and no more than 25 songs long. The idea here is that it should be something you could fit on no more than 2 "regular" CDs. This will also make it easy to do on an MP3 player, USB key, or MP3 CD depending on your car stereo's capabilities.
Edit: modified somewhat per Stamper's suggestions.

Great idea. I, however, think you should make a couple amendments to your rules...
1. You should probably establish a maximum number of songs allowed. The minimum of 10 songs is good, but there should be a maximum too. People either are going to use MP3 players, MP3-ready CD players, or traditional CD players. That could mean you could get anywhere from an infinite number of songs on an MP3 player, 50-130 songs on a CD in MP3 format, or just 15-25 songs in a tradition format. I suggest you establish a maximum in songs allowed. If someone is going to use their iPhone, they could go ahead and create a 400 song playlist - where's the fun, creativity and song sacrifices in that?
2. Road trip music means entirely different things to entirely different people. To someone, a song like 'Guess I'm doing fine' by Beck is a road trip song - to someone else, a song like 'Cradle' by Joy Formidable is a road trip song. Are you saying 'road trip music' conveys theme? emotion? song pacing?
Again, this is a great idea - and I'm totally going to create a 2010 Sasquatch playlist.

Again, this is a great idea - and I'm totally going to create a 2010 Sasquatch playlist. Strictly speaking I was looking for 2012 playlists, but... go for it. Rules aren't any fun if you can't break them once in a while.

And I figured I'd limit it at what would fit on an 80 minute audio CD.

Also, I don't know whether the idea was to just create a playlist that people can listen to in their cars or actually make a playlist appropriate and considerate of a road trip, but I tried to do the latter.
