And Destroyer, I saw many amazing groups in the 60's and 70's: Hendrix, Cream, Mothers, Canned Heat, the Dead with Pigpen, Airplane, Quicksilver, Janis Joplin Pink Floyd, Procol Harem, ... more recently (last 20 years) many "Americana" types...of which the Civil Wars at Sasquatch would hail, probably also Trampled by Turtles...this fall at my main festival I will be digging KD Lang and John Hiatt

...and when the fecal matter flows and I really don't care anymore, and I'm rushing on my run and I feel just like Jesus' son... FUCKING AWESOME!

What's an honours supervisor? The professor that supervised my undergraduate (honours) research project.

I get mini panic attacks every single time I have to call someone on the phone that isn't a friend or relative. No idea why, but my heart is always guaranteed to start racing when I dial the numbers. My fucking hands were shaking when I was on the phone with the tattoo shop last month. God I'm a wussy.

I get so nervous on the phone that I forget to breathe and nearly pass out. It happens when I am explaining something to people I know too. I'm not sure why but it's embarrassing to have to stop and breathe for a bit on the phone.

I'm pretty similar in that regard pea. The amount of shit I don't get done simply because I don't want to call some place is truly frightning.

I don't think I would've survived a Canned Heat show. F'real. That must have been one hell of a good goddamn time. Poor Pigpen. Did you catch him between '71-'72? The stuff I've heard from that period was pretty amazing. Lucky you dude! KD Lang is so good live. She always has the coolest harmonies I find. You ever see this sweet video before?

Yall need some exposure therapy to get over this phone thing. I could make a business out of this... ^you could charge people for 'therapy' and then give them 'practice' time answering phones for a separate company, who you could also charge. The only cost to you would be advertising/location/equipment, etc., but after all of those capital costs you'd be rolling in the dough...assuming people want the exposure therapy in the first place.

Probably a solid quarter of my clients have significant anxiety issues with calling people or answering the phone. Can make setting up an appointment pretty friggen difficult.
The only way to make anxiety F off is to "feel the fear and do it anyway", and do it often - so if you want to stop having so much anxiety about something like using the phone, make yourself make increasingly more calls everyday. When you're feeling high anxiety, take a normal breath in and breathe out for 8 seconds. It increases your co2 and decreases your oxygen, which makes you feel sleepy, and your brain is like.. wtf? How can I be panicked AND sleepy/relaxed. I can't.

Strangely enough, I'm transferring into air traffic control and out of commercial aviation, so my entire (potential) career will consist of talking to people on a phone of sorts. Something about the phraseology, organization, and anonymity of it makes it very enjoyable for me, though.

Whatever. Any pills that I may or may have not consumed in my life are in no way as damaging and addicting as the poison produced by pharmaceutical companies. Yuck.

I read some interesting research in my undergrad on extacy (I took an entire course on drugs.. super interesting shit). In monkeys, after one dose of e, 6 months later they had significantly reduced synaptic connections. Shizer.
