If The Strokes came to Sasquatch that would easily be a deal breaker for me. I absolutely love The Strokes. But any of the stems of them would be good too.

Kings of Leon just played in Seattle in late October, I am not sure it sold out, but even if it did it only holds 3500 people so I would be surprised if they headlined Sasquatch!, a 20,000 person venue. Having said that, I would not be unhappy if they headlined! Yeah, it sold out and there were a ton of people at the venue trying to get tickets.

That's awesome, maybe they will headline a night, but I think that they will be right before a headliner. Modest Mouse and Death Cab for Cutie have played the Key Arena and they still played before a headliner last year. However, I haven't heard many other viable headliners, we'll know soon...

Rumor has it Jane's Addiction will be touring with NIN. I'm thinking they'll be at the 'squatch and will kick our asses.

So... - Kings of Leon - NIN - Elvis Costello - Jane's Addiction - Pearl Jam
Those are the most talked about names I've heard. Anyone else to add as realistic possibilities? (No not Coldplay or The Killers) Hopefully we'll know in a week or so. Can't wait for this lineup!

Would anybody be opposed to the Beastie Boys making a return?

Would anybody be opposed to the Beastie Boys making a return? Their two sets in 2007 were incredible!

( if KOL, why not MMJ) and just to add some totally unrealistic and would never in million years be at sasquatch, But is going to be touring this year and would be pretty cool to see. Peter Gabriel.

I think some would argue that Dave Matthews Band should be moved down two spots to Diseased Ridden Crack Whores, and I don't think they are Supermodel status. I think I'll keep them in the Friends of Friends for now. We'll see what others think. I can always move them around in the near future, or add a new category for them. I'm thinking of the Seinfeld episode with the girlfriend who is either very ugly or extremely attractive depending on the lighting. DMB is the greatest band of our time, your a dick!

The My Morning Jacket guess seems like a really good one to me.

This seems to be a strange place to be discussing my dick, although I am flattered you graded it an A. It might have been easier to understand your grade had you wrote, "your A+ dick." But seriously, PM me if you want to talk about my dick, there are children here. Then again, maybe you meant, "you're a dick" which would be an insult rather than an admiration. Nice first post though, welcome to the board. I have read in the past that My Morning Jacket and Beck are taking time off from touring, so each is unlikely. My Morning Jacket isn't even on the Bonnaroo lineup (yet?) which would support this. Beck shouldn't be back so soon without his puppet gimmick. At least when the Flaming Lips came back, it was with their UFO. A normal Beck show might be disappointing compared to Sasquatch 06. I like Elvis Costello, but he is not a headliner. He played a 1,400 venue last time he was in Portland, about four years ago. I don't think his popularity has grown that much since. Animal Collective sold out the same venue two years ago, and it is safe to say their popularity has grown since, and Animal Collective is not even close to headliner status. By comparison, Kings of Leon recently sold out a 2,700 venue, Weezer played at a 10,000 capacity venue, and NIN played at a 20,000 capacity venue. If Elvis Costello headlined a night, I would seriously start thinking about the festival being shortened or canceled due to putrid ticket sales. I like the Jane's Addiction rumor, that would be cool. I added them to the first post of this thread.

Hey knowidyuh
I get your point but when it comes To headlining, a Band gets enough coin to do a one off performance, so i can see MMJ or Beck being there. But I agree with you about Beck, he has a new band with the modern guilt CD , so I am not sure how tight they are yet.

I'd be seriously surprised if MMJ played Sasquatch. I think they are nearly the right size to headline, but I don't think it will happen this year since Jim James is taking time off to write and recover from his injury.
I'd be cool with Beck, puppets or no - really enjoyed his Austin City Limits set last year.

Saturday:Beastie Boys--doing Paul's Boutique Sunday:Radiohead Monday:Pearl Jam FTW!! I think I could get behind that. I would probably catch the Yeti headliner on Saturday and Monday and be totally content with that. Beastie Boys and Pearl Jam wouldn't draw the kind of crowd some of the other discussed headliners would.
