how explosions in the sky isn't playing on the mainstage as the sun starts to go down is beyond me... been a fan for years and never have seen them live but hear its amazing, and i will ditch some of my less enlightened friends if they happen to be playing during the girl talk party, cause thats kinda the rumor right?? that they will both be playing friday overlapping each other?

If they have any idea what they're doing, they'll put Explosions in the sky in the Friday late night slot, going on after Pretty Lights. It would be ridiculous to make them conflict with Girl Talk or PL.

I just hope there's something going on at one of the other stages during Pretty Lights.

I would love it it Explosions was a late night set on Friday. Since they closed the Bigfoot in 2009 (after Girl Talk) it seems strange that they would get the exact same spot again, so there is hope. If Pretty Lights goes until around midnight and Explosions goes 11:30 - 1:00 that would be fantastic.
It's nice that they actually seem to be putting in some effort to make Friday have some substance to it this year, and not just a big act and some filler.

Is it too soon to start predicting these? Looks like we have enough acts sorted for Saturday to fill it.

And EitS after Girl Talk was hysterical. "Now we're going to rock you with some real music"

As much as I wish that made up schedule was right, I dont think Wolfgang will be before Araab Muzik based on their placements both on the poster and the lineup page. Unless they do that intentionally because they know everyone will want to see Jack White. I see where you're going with this... Other than that, it seems pretty plausible. And EitS after Girl Talk was hysterical. "Now we're going to rock you with some real music" That's not how I remember it. They said something like "Girl Talk was a fun party, which was awesome, but we are serious talk. We're not here to bum you out we're here to bliss out out." I didn't take it as an insult to Girl Talk, just more them saying that they play a totally different style of music, which they do.

Uhhh there's no way Araabmuzik is headlining the Shack. He isn't even listed above W.G.

It would be ridiculous to make them conflict with Girl Talk or PL. Yeah, no way they put a band with ambient and melodramatic guitars opposite the dance parties of a mash-up artist and a DJ with a light show. That would be ridiculous.

Unless they do that intentionally because they know everyone will want to see Jack White. Yeah, that's what I was aiming for. That, and being as close to last year's times as possible. But I can switch them around.Wolfgang is a bigger deal, so it does make sense for him to close.

I'm mainly being critical of your Gartner placement because I'll be racing against the clock to get to the Gorge to see him. The later the better.
And holy shit. I just realized I'll be arriving for the first time ever after dark. And solo. How spooky...

Updated. Schedule graphic now shows Wolfgang closing. If the real set times are something like this, it would be an exceptional day, getting to take in Charles Bradley->I Break Horses->Todd Barry->Purity Ring->Metric->St. Vincent->Jack White. The only negatives would be having to see tune-yards to get a good spot for St. Vincent and missing Dum Dum Girls to do the same for Metric, but would get to see all my must-sees, so no complaints there.

This is some quality stuff, bort. I was always fascinated by the Coachella board's meticulous set time predictions, and yours is right up there with theirs.
