Here's the video of The Shins playing Fallon on Pink Floyd week I would love to see that video. I don't even know how that works.

Something about it seemed ridiculously insincere at the time. I seriously thought Mercer was fucking with me. Pea I got your back. I wasn't actually there but I saw the stream and I agree, it just didn't feel right.

Haha I'm actually sure it was great, and Fox fucking loved it. I remember looking at him and saying something along the lines of, "They're fucking playing this JUST for you, aren't they?? This is your song dude!"

My excitement and your disgust (or whatever it was) were more then likely chemically driven. Although I probably would have loved it regardless.

So they rearranged the comedy times for Saturday and Sunday, now Portlandia is in a nearly identical time slot with The Civil Wars. This is really disappointing as I wanted to see both

I'm really questioning whether or not to bug out of the first half hour of Beck for Mogwai's set.
On the one hand, Beck is Beck, and seeing as he's the closer it might be nice to catch his whole performance...who knows what he's gonna be playing, and I may not wanna miss any of it. On the other, Mogwai is Mogwai, and i'm really not missing much of Beck anyway...apparently their live sets are amazing, too.
I haven't seen either of them before. Decisions, decisions. Almost as bad as the Beirut/Zola Jesus crisis

Beck.
Mogwai is literally nothing next to Beck.

Screw you, Ralph Nater! Didn't you drop out of the race? Mogwai shits Becks.
Granted, I've never seen a Beck show, but he is past his prime. Mogwai is peaking with their last three albums IMO, and when I'm peaking nothing does it for me quite like a wall of 4 loud-as-fuck guitars pummeling my face.

You will especially enjoy Mogwai, badchoices. Burrito guaranteed.

Hey Stingray, you know Mogwai is playing Vancouver Tuesday night, right? You will probably be too tired to make it to the Commodore by 9pm the day after Sasquatch, but it's an option.

Normally I'd give you shit about completely disregarding my opinion, but as far as I can tell our respective tastes don't overlap AT ALL so you're probably better off listening to Burrito. You'll still be missing Beck and I can't fix that, but to each his own.

We can see an hour of Mogwai, followed by an hour of Beck, after an Hour of Tenacious D. Win/win/win mothafuckas.

Shiiiiiit you're right; for some reason I had it in my head that they were playing Saturday or something. Although the prospect of transporting the lifeless pile of flesh that is my post-Squatch body anywhere besides a warm bed Tuesday night is very unappealing, that may turn out to be the best option. Especially since the likelihood of Beck touring again is pretty slim. But Burrito makes a good point. And am I ever going to be able to see Mogwai at the Gorge...? ah fuck it. It'll be a gametime decision. Thanks for the input fellas.

Any advice on the Beirut vs. Zola Jesus conflicts for those that have seen them live?
