Are dum dum girls that high on the lineup? I would basically switch them with alabama shakes Yeah, they are billed a lot higher than the near-the-bottom Alabama Shakes. are you basing that off of the poster? because the lineup page on the website has Alabama Shakes just ahead of the Dum Dums. (the lineup page has undergone a slow evolution since the announcement. the poster, obviously, remains unchanged.) this is, of course, pointless speculation, there is often significant variation between the actual schedule and the lineup, especially when you're talking about second stage.

Alabama Shakes were originally on the Sasquatch stage.
And I LOVE the Dum Dum Girls. They are boring live but I love their records.

Sounds like Beck/Mogwai will be my '12 version of Pavement/Dirty Projectors. So much pain. MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION THIS YEAR!! (for realz <3)

If Mogwai conflicts with The D I am going to lose my shit. here's a theory: Tenacious plays Sunday. The D vs. St. Vincent/Tune-yards is nearly as bad as The D vs. Spiritualized/Mogwai. Everything sucks!

Mogwai should conflict with most of Beck, not whomever plays before him, if it is the D. I'd guess Tenacious D 8-9 Beck 9:30-11:30 versus Spiritualized 7:30-8:30 Mogwai 9-10 I like to think the almighty D will get at least 75 minutes.

Yeah, I see it now, thanks. Interesting. I hope that does result in Dum Dum Girls playing earlier.

So what day is looking likely for The Roots? And what conflicts? Any guesses based on the leaks thus far?

Sources say that The Roots will be playing a late night set. I don't understand this. So, the conflict will probably be with whoever is on the main stage that night. I'm thinking if they do have a late night slot, it will be on Sunday, so there is not a conflict with James Murphy who is the biggest Banana Shack artist right meow.

So James Murphy would likely be over before the Roots begin?

So James Murphy would likely be over before the Roots begin? Some people are saying they think James Murphy may go later, because of how big he is, so my whole point was that if that is the case then maybe that is when they will have The Roots as a late set. This would keep the people more interested in dance music happy.

I'm saying the D plays on Sunday, as in conflicting with what could be Little Dragon/Wild Flag or maybe Walkmen, which I am totally cool with. and by the way Scough, St Vincent is an incredible performer, I would recommend skipping the end of the Shins/beginning of Jack White (or pretty much anything) to see her, no question.

I'm so happy about the overlap of Coachella and Sasquatch artists. If I miss someone at one festival I can see them at the other.

I saw Little Dragon 6 months ago, and Wild Flag will be back soon. I see this as the best possible outcome. Definitely Vincent over White.

Little Dragon on the bigfoot, followed by James Murphy in the tent, then The Roots on the bigfoot would be the perfect Sunday night.
