Donald Glover is awesome. "Childish Gambino" is freaking terrible.
Yeah if Childish Gambino wasn't Donald Glover I probably would hate him. But it's Donald Glover which immediately makes him awesome.
Yeah, I hate that Childish Gambino stuff so goddamn much. However, when I was checking some of the stuff out on Youtube I was pretty impressed at his performance. Some of it was a way too over dramatic, but on the whole you can tell he is very well rehersed and confident in what he is doing. He's pretty much on point for everything. I wouldn't say he has a super impressive flow or anything, but he absolutely nails it in terms of delivery and dynamics live.
I'm a sucker for artists who clearly put tons of work into what they do. Like the old timey days.
I'm still not THAT big enough of a sucker to actually go and see Childish Gambino.
1. PRETTY EFFIN LIGHTS 2. Girl Talk 3. Beck (even though it looks like I'll be missing him....damn) 4. Jack White 5. The Roots 6. Wolfgang Gartner 7. Apparat 8. EITS 9. John Reily 10. Jamey Johnson
1. Wolfgang Gartner 2. Wolfgang Gartner 3. Wolfgang Gartner 4. Wolfgang Gartner 5. Wolfgang Gartner 6. Wolfgang Gartner 7. Wolfgang Gartner 8. Wolfgang Gartner 9. Wolfgang Gartner 10. Wolfgang Gartner
If I don't worry about meaningless things like potential music festival conflicts then I might have to focus on actual problems in my life, and like, deal with them and stuff. That sounds terrible.
If I were going this year... 1. Beck 2. Jack White 3. St. Vincent 4. Santigold 5. Tenacious D 6. Zola Jesus 7. Metric 8. Joy Formdiable 9. Portlandia 10. Nick Kroll
Interesting, I had no idea Childish Gambino and the dude from Community were the same person. He better do a standup set, there sure is room for it right now.
My top 10 are pretty top two lines heavy it looks like. This will probably change after I explore the lineup more.
1. Beck 2. Tenacious D 3. Jack White 4. Pretty Lights 5. The Joy Formidable 6. John Reilly & Friends 7. Wolfgang Gartner 8. Hey Rosetta! 9. Beardyman 10. Mogwai
Bands that would be on there but I have seen enough times already
