Well, if that's the case, I can't wait to see the Roots. Getting a work out in is always necessary after corn dogs and quesadillas and pounding beer and whatever else.

A late night Roots set would mean I wouldn't miss Tenacious D or Beck, which are the other two acts I'm most excited about. Perfect.
Also I was thinking, I wish Broken Social Scene was going to be at Sasquatch again because Emily Haines will be there with Metric and Feist will be as well. It would be awesome to hear some of the BSS songs live with them instead of other women singing their parts.

BSS is like, done, or something. Until they're not anymore.

Drew for president! I wrote basically the same thing on the Sasquatch facebook page awhile ago. The hipster vs bro argument is so fucking stupid. PS I love using that .

While I agree with this, the fanbase can make it harder to enjoy a show if the crowd is full of people that generally piss you off. No one should be pissed at Sasquatch. There is absolutely no reason. You are in the most beautiful environment partying and listening to music all day. If you are pissed at Sasquatch you are doing it wrong. I've never really been pissed off at sasquatch, but there are some people there who might piss me off under non sasquatch settings. I was just saying a crowd can enhance a show as much as they can take away from it. Shows are a lot more enjoyable when the crowd is full of people you would probably get along with in normal life.

I was hoping for a bit more from the lineup. Most of the artists I care about I'll see at Coachella, the rest will probably be at MFNW... yet I'm still tempted. I wish they'd gotten one more headliner though - Bjork, Portishead, Fleet Foxes... Are Pretty Lights and Girl Talk really top tier acts? Disappointed.

I'm from North Dakota, we have plenty of drunks and scumbags, airmen, and riggers. Plenty of idiocy going around, but can you tell me what exactly defines a 'bro' or a 'hipster?' With the thriving economy here and the thousands of high paying jobs being handed out to anyone, and I mean ANYONE regardless of how many teeth you have, your criminal history, your heroine addiction, or how many children you had with your cousin. They're handing jobs out to everyone. Fucking scumbags all over.
Strippers are making more money in city of Williston, ND than Vegas.

Maybe there should be an official "Bitch About The Lineup" thread, for those who are disappointed, and want to express themselves. Then everybody else can discuss the lineup here in a constructive manner. I know people would come here to bitch anyway, but a hate thread could deter it some.

Considering how dedicated Pretty Lights has been to playing festivals large and small, I think he's built himself enough to desere the Friday night headline slot. I think we can all agree that Sasquatch is pretty well known for promoting bands. Pretty Lights earned it. His elaborate stage setup certainly helps as well. I have alot of friends who have seen Pretty Lights at places like Hornings Hideout, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, that say he is outstanding.

Also, I think it should be pointed out that Fleet Foxes will basically be there. The drummer left and made them change their name (as I understand) and now They're called Poor Moon, and they're playing the Yeti.

I checked online to confirm and turns out it's a side project with the bassist and keyboardist from FF.

Sounds like the Fleet Foxes are falling apart. Who would have thunk? I mean their music just provided such limitless boundaries to work within. I can't see why any of them would fall out of favor with being in a band who plays music like how bands used to play music and now that is what your band is best known for. Sounds like fun.

My feelings about Pretty Lights are predictable: cool toy, dreadful music, stoked anyway. Although Electronic Friday is a classically terrible idea. There's three more days of festival left after that, for chrissakes.

Oh quit, Davers. If the show is good, you won't even notice the crowd, and if you do, you're paying money for the wrong things. When the crowd talks during songs, yells obnoxiously during quiet parts or moshs during shows I think it is unnecessary, I notice. I find free shows usually have crowds that are quilty of the former two things a lot, probably because they didn't pay to see it. It isn't a make or break thing, but being beside a few people who are in the same headspace as me during a show makes it better for me.
