I agree with LCD being disrespected by only getting a 60 minute slot. However Pavement can play as long as they fucking want. That show was great. I like him already! ;D

Oops and I meant I don't understand the appeal for Pretty Lights, not Feed me. Bash away fellas. I completely agree. I'm sure the set will be fun, but I can not get into anything he's recorded.

I think it's funny because Pretty Lights is the only EDM artist on this lineup and the Coachella lineup that I have listened to and actually really enjoyed. I am not a EDM hater, I am just a situational EDM listener, and that situation usually involves being at a festival under the influence of dr0ogz.
I really like the song "Shining Bright Despite the Plight" from the album Glowing in the Darkest Night.

That's pretty much my feelings about EDM aside from the Pretty Lights comment. I can't sit at my house or drive in my car and listen to it but if I'm under the influence of good ol Molly it's usually pretty great. Boys Noize was one of my favorite Sasquatch performances ever a few years ago for that very reason.

I really like the song "Shining Bright Despite the Plight" from the album Glowing in the Darkest Night. EDM is hit or miss for me, but I just gave this a listen and I'd be all about a set comprised of spaced out groove sounds like that. However, will he really play that type of music or more like this? I'd guess the latter, but I admit my ignorance on the subject. FWIW, I was blown away by Ratatat last year and rather surprised by Glitch Mob too, so I'm warming up the genre.

You shouldn't base your interest in Pretty Light live show solely on his recorded material. He plays a pretty good live set featuring the best of his catalog mixed with a large variety of other music that he remixes. His recorded material is hit and miss for me. I really love some of his songs, but some are very boring. I imagine there would be some full sets floating around out there on the internet.

Imagine the biggest dance party ever, and multiply that by a thousand. That's what a Pretty Lights show is like. He plays everything from his downtempo stuff to his newer, heavier songs. So don't be surprised if you hear some of his slower, groovier songs because both of the times I've seen him he has played quite a bit of everything from his catalog of music.

Well of course. But lets not judge Pretty Lights' catalog just by that song alone. He has a ton of songs and remixes that are wayyyyyyyyyy better.

pretty lights will dissapoint nobody,
i was mainly excited about his light show before i saw him live but after hearing him live the songs from his albums that might seem boring when played live with tons of bass and everything else turned up all the way, he will have you groovin to beats unlike any other edm artist out there..
basically if you just enjoyed bassnectar in the slightest bit at all last year, pretty lights will have you bouncin his whole set and begging for more when its over

Just listened to Polica's album and wow, I really dig it! I am loving how much ambient electronic music Sasquatch got this year. Aside from Dance Party Friday, I honestly think its going to put me in less of a party mood and more of a....transcendential mood? I don't know haha but I love this lineup.
