None of the Spring festivals did. They obviously didn't plan on being stateside until mid-Summer.

I was at the record store today and was going to buy an album by St. Vincent to familiarize myself with her for Sasquatch. They had two albums and I know nothing about her. Wanted to ask the boards opinion on which one to pickup next time in there:
Marry Me or Actor.
Thanks a lot!

Actor for sure! She will only play at most one song from Marry ME.

Who is the reactionary that banned me from the board until the day after Coachella?
I was being a bit unfair about Sasquatch! I worked out the schedule and divided the number of bands I'm planning on seeing and divided it by 315 and the number was more than acceptable. On the other hand, the cost of attending this festival has almost doubled in just a couple years and I personally don't feel that it is twice as good. Sure, we have the extra day, but I saw one band on Friday last year and plan on seeing 3 this year (honeyhoney, of monsters and men, and the physics). I could honestly do without the extra day anyways. And this year we're getting the maine stage (which I supposing is named as such because like the state it is stuck up in the corner and nobody is interested in it) but does feel like that's worth skyrocketing ticket prices? And I understand that camping is now included but it was much better when each vehicle needed one camping pass. It made the cost of camping very low if it is split and it encouraged carpooling which is beneficial for so many reasons. And as far as the lineup is concerned, they did get several acts that I bitched about not being there last year, most notably a late night Roots performance. But I think the ball was dropped on many acts, most notably First Aid Kit, Jeff Mangum, and Chris Baio solo just off the top of my head. I'm also hoping that since this year is 4 day passes only that those without them won't be in the campgrounds. I'm usually all for the more the merrier but there are people who go just to camp and party and I'm willing to bet a lot of the theft that occurs there is caused by many of these of people. Not all obviously, but many.

Just like last year, you will not be allowed to camp without a four day pass.

They can say that, but did anyone actually have their tickets checked upon entering the campground? I know I didn't. We could have just been 2 cars full of people here for the party. At least in previous years you had to buy a camping pass, last year you could have gotten in for free. One of our neighbours wasn't attending the fest because she sprained her ankel and didn't want to walk around all day and sold her ticket to a friend. She still camped though.
As for the cost, I don't think its that bad. Three day passes in 2010 were around 165, so 55 per day ( I think these had fees on top of that). Camping was 100/car or if you had 4 people then 25/person, or 8.33 per night. So we have gone from about 70/day (including fees) to less than 80/day. Not a huge jump IMO, though you could argue Friday doesn't count as a whole day.
Edit: if you bought presale it's less than 75/day.

I should also add that I think it's a really good thing that Mangum wasn't booked for Sasquatch. The reports I read said that his crowd for Coachella wasn't huge (though it was dedicated) and it seems like the appropriate place for his performance is in front of a devoted crowd. I'm sure he would have been great at Sasquatch but it doesn't make much sense to pay a ton of money so that 1/10th of the audience is excited. I'm sure everyone who saw his shows at the Moore or Crystal enjoyed that a lot more than they would have at Sasquatch.
