Connections to deadmau5 and "up and coming" artist could very well be Skrillex. I don't recall the whole complicated story, but deadmau5 signed Skrillex to his label briefly after his orignal label ditched him, and then when he started blowing up the original record company pitched a fit and got Skrillex back.

And if it is Skrillex, well, get ready for some brostep madness. Maybe he's actually learned to beatmix by now, that would be something.

I should have figured with a lineup with so little brostep they would have something like this under their sleeve. Can't really escape it these days. I'll get down to some Skrillex. I saw some footage of his latest tour, and his new stage set up looked pretty awesome. Excision is a far superior live performer though, and his stage setup is pretty awesome as well.

It is not skrillex. I have a pretty good knowledge of electronic music so I would rule out the really obvious ones. It is totally rave music though. They have gone to coachella.

Afrojack? Flux Pavillion?
Somehow I doubt it's Amon Tobin...

Phew, thank goodness. Whoever it is, tell Snacks to wait until the tickets are sold out to announce it so we don't get infested with bros.

and it's probably not DJ Shadow either, because you'd know the name for sure.

It seems like there are few up and comers on Coachella that could hold that spot. DJ Shadow is far from being an up and comer. Right now I'm thinking Nero. They are already on the lineup.

Yeah, you're right.
The Shadowsphere would make for a great late-night set though...

I was almost thinking Zeds Dead for a second, but a quick search shows the radius clause would cancel them out for their shows at the end of April. BUT, they have arrabMuzik with them, and he is not canceled out.

He is lower then a banana shack headliner on the coachella poster for his year. It is above average light show. Even if you guys do guess it I still can't tell you just so you know.

He is lower then many of the banana shack headliners on the coachella poster. It is all about the light show that he just started using. Even if you guys do guess it I still can't tell you just so you know. My guess would be Zedd then, which is a little weird. I would think there should be a little stricter criteria for a coveted slot like that other than just "a sick light show".

Looks like it could be some hot and sweaty fun, if not somewhat generic. I'll stop by their set after the headliner.

Also, 12th Planet has gotten pretty big lately, with his own national tour. However he did sub-headline Skrillex's last tour, so that's also a consideration. At least 12th Planet actually mixes live, he would be a fun set.
