That's one of my favorite Beck songs as well. We can cross our fingers together and hope he plays it.

That's me and 'Earthquake Weather'.
I seriously love Guero. I know a lot of people don't, but I'd be thrilled with a Guero-heavy set.

Earthquake Weather is great too, and that whole album is fantastic in my opinion. Any haters can suck it. Thirteen songs and I love all of them. Can't say that about very many albums.

Wait, there are people who DON'T like Guero?

We had this conversation a couple months ago. There were a bunch of people who were all like "Fuck Guero, gimme The Information instead!"
Stupid people, obviously. I bet it was daver.

Here's the setlist and it looks tasty. I think this setlist is pretty incredible. I saw some videos of his performance last night, too, and he sounds great. I was a little surprised he didn't debut any new material or even his contribution to the Jeff Who Lives At Home soundtrack, "Looking for a Sign." Either way, an hour and a half of music spanning six albums heavy on Odelay and Sea Change? I'll take it! Two of the three sets he played in the fall were for Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit. The third was a warmup for those gigs. The acoustic focus made perfect sense then, but it looks like he kept some of that spirit with seven tracks from Sea Change and "Dead Melodies" from Mutations. I can't wait!

I really could do without all that dreary Sea Change material right up front, but that's been his modus operandi for ten years at this point.

I'm breaking my "no Sasquatch bands before Sasquatch" rule and listening to Sea Change right now. I am officially skipping the end of Mogwai to catch that dreary material.

I love a good slow burner of a show. Start things of a little mellow before kicking it into high gear.

AND THEY PLAYED MINUS AT SASQUATCH TOO
(And Motherfuker, ftw?)
But you've already heard everything about Beck's set.
What I've come here to wonder is about a certain music video. The video for Sexx Laws is one of my favorite things ever, and I just learned that at one point Beck put the uncut EIGHTEEN MINUTE LONG version on his website, with a whole full intro. HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS?
And now that I put two and two together, I just realized Sasquatch was not the first time Beck and Jack Black have done stuff together.

Hey Lumps! I'm pretty sure that if you grew your hair long and alway wore that hat you would look eerily like Beck. Y'know, if you're looking to add a cover band to your repertoire.

I was fully wanting to stay for the entirety of Beck's set since I knew I'd miss something awesome at the end (I did), but my friends were nearly literally falling asleep after the Sea Change songs and they decided they wanted to bone out after Paper Tiger. I didn't want to take the asshole position and hold them back. It wasn't as easy as them just going back to camp and me staying, since we had already collapsed our trailer and were ready to ride out immediately. This was the hardest part of the weekend for me.

Any speculation as to what drug cocktail Beck was floating on? He was fucked right up.....
