I get drunk before I go in and after I leave, but honestly it is a really long day and it is often very warm and I find that getting drunk inside goes low on my list of priorities. It is nice to have a nip here and there but I don't need chasers for that.
EDIT: I realize I knew a lot of people with flasks and stuff last year and did end up getting pretty drunk inside sometimes. Sweet. Peach rum at Black Mountain.

Stormy, that's usually my plan of attack. The only thing that sucks about not keeping that buzz going throughout the day is that I get fucking miserably sleepy at like, 4pm. I usually get my second wind once the sun sets. Then Stamper and I usually split an overpriced beer inside.

The day I got super super drunk before we went into the grounds was the day I missed a ton of bands because I passed out for hours on the hill. Sucked ass. But... with this whole re-entry thing, I wont be pounding drinks before I go in. .. or.. I wont be pounding as many...

last year I did a lot of smushing water bottles and putting them on various softer places of my body (and of the body of a pregnant friend!). Hey, it's the Wild Horse Camping crew!

The thing about sneaking in liquor is that you always want a mixer (at least I do) and then you're still paying a shitload of money for a coke or frozen lemonade. There's no easy/cheap way to get drunk at Sasquatch. Friends were putting crystal light packages into the water/vodka they brought in. I thought it tasted nearly as shitty as just water/vodka, but they liked it. And crystal light is so friggen sweet/strong that a security even sniffed a guy's mostly vodka drink and couldn't tell! +1 for crystal light. I find the lemonade packets work the best for vodka / gin. But I'm the sort of person who can easily stomach straight up gin / vodka martinis, and I'm not buying the cheap booze either. Gin and iced tea is also surprisingly good if you bring in some iced tea powder.

I've used copycapit, it's a cap that replicates a factory sealed water bottle. Since you can carry one 20oz factory sealed water bottle copycapit is a way to bring in your drinks. check it out www.copycapit.com

I did the boil the caps off trick last year and brought in a couple bottles of vodka each day. The lemonade was pricey but 12 bucks for a lot of really strong lemonade and vodka is way better than 11 bucks for a shitty beer.
Quick question but was it "one bottle only" last year? I have a vague memory that it was and they didn't really care if you brought in a few small bottles. May be wrong though.

Here's the ultimate trick: Find 22 empty $11 beer can as you meander through the venue and transfer the approximate one ounce of dredges from the cans to the one that's in the best shape. BINGO! You've got yourself a delcious Corolseniken Blue Ribbon! Desperate desperate desperate

Legit question...
what were the overpriced beer options last year?
Used to be PBR, Corona, Molsen, Heineken, and I recall Banquet Beer and The Bullet.

You've got yourself a delcious Corolseniken Blue Ribbon! In high school I used to do something similar, but with popcorn. At the movie theater in my town you would get free refills of the XL popcorn, and people would always throw them away with them basically full. If they were on top of the trash and looked somewhat clean I would take them out of the trash after pouring out all the popcorn then go to the register and get a free refill of fresh popcorn. Pretty gross though once I think about it.

The downside of that being that you are drinking boxed wine. In the sun. In the desert.
