yeah that does suck, and the day shows in the heat are draining, but it is so nice when the sun goes down around 8 and you have about 6 or 7 hours of night time music in warm weather.

moogfest is a small-medium sized fest about 4 hours from me in Asheville, NC. Considered going last year but passed at the last minute. There was a decent lineup but it takes place halloween weekend and my friend and I were going as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunn...that was the top priority.
I have to wonder where you live since I'm also 4 hours from Asheville.

Sasquatch is oppressively hot in that 1-4pm range, typically. Cold War Kids in '08, Doves in '09, etc had this slot, I recall.
