So I was thinking about the whole Jack White thing and I was wondering if he may bring out some special guests during his performance. Perhaps some of the people that he's recorded with since disbanding The White Stripes. Since he does not seem to be doing a full fledged tour at this time, the shows he does do may be special in that sense. Am I way off on this thought?

I don't think Racontours or the Dead Weather could headline, and the Whitestrips porbably just because they haven't been around in ages. If it is just him and a backup band then it doesnt really seem like the biggest act on the list. Jack White is pretty well connected in the industry though, so I would expect him to have some friends.

I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't be performing a ton of White Stripes songs.

If these guys have gotten any better then I'd be pretty stoked to see them. I caught them in Nashville before Bonnaroo in '08. I really liked the album at the time, but the show was pretty meh. I think the band itself was pretty inexperienced with eachother at that point. It's the guy who used to be in Comets on Fire.
EDIT: meow these guys could be this year's Black Mountain if they have their shit together.

Okay, Gramma and Stormy how does this sound as a Monday afternoon psych-rock ride for you all?

I'm not saying Jack White won't play a bunch of hits, but I'm not expecting he will. He is just one of those artists, that does pretty much exactly what he wants. Although I'm hoping 'cause they're paying him the big bucks, there is some sort of clause on him playing a few older gems, rather than just everything off his forthcoming LP and a bunch of old blues covers( which actually might be kind of cool)

I haven't seen the poster (not the video) on either the Sasquatch site or their Facebook unless if I'm just missing it. They haven't even posted the lineup on their Facebook which is bizarre.
I'm hoping that Jack White will have done a few shows already before the fest so that we have an idea of what his setlists are going to look like.
Odelay and OK Computer were the two albums that acted as gateways into all the music that I love today. I still consider Odelay to be my favorite album of all time. I am feeling so happy about Beck. I've only seen him once and can't wait for this show.

Howlin rain is one of the coolest things on the lineup but I really wish that Comets on Fire hadn't broken up...

Beardyman should really play the comedy tent into the dance tent every single afternoon. What a perfect fucking transition that would be.
