You're a pretty cool chick, as far as our e-interactions go. And in all honesty, I'm pretty much an internet expert in forum-based interactions considering ive been playing mmos since 7th grade. And as far as the I'm concerned, you're one of the most reasonable females on the internet. Other than stormy of course. God damn that HG for having such an awesome and clever wife. DAMN YOU SCUBA STEVE.
My boss is from Seattle, and he says people from Seattle say, "Oh Portland is really nice, I like Portland a lot," and people from Portland say, "Fuck Seattle, Portland is way better than Seattle." And in my experience, it's true.

It's true, Portland already feels too big, and the Seattle Metro area is over 1.5 times the size of Portland. Portland is set up on a grid, so it's really tough to get lost, while Seattle seems to be set up completely random with angled streets in every direction. I always wonder how people living on opposite sides of Seattle can even get drunk together without spending the night or paying $80 for a cab home. Getting across town on transit is nearly impossible there while I can get anywhere in Portland in 30 minutes on transit.
I imagine a lot of close cities with similar climates would have the same opinion of each other, the smaller hating the larger and the larger liking the smaller. Dallas/Austin maybe?
I loved Portland so much for that. We had done no research whatsoever when me and a friend went down, just booked a hostel, and we found our way so easily everywhere the whole week. It was so nice not to be stressed out trying to get around.
