I think facebook has their own personals for free and you can see their profile, which is an added plus because you get to know a little bit about the person.
You probably already know this but stay away from Craigslist (unless you are into meth addicts and creeps)
Good luck!

I actually did do Craigslist once like 4 years ago and it was fine, however, big name dating sites with profiles and pictures is a little different.

Ahhh. That seems to be the hip one. I'm totally emotionally wrapped up in other things but if/when I'm not, I may consider it. Thanks, Shax.

I'm not really ready to disclose my Internet dating history, but I will tell you that for about the first 2 months of almost every relationship I've been in I'm all for them. After that I think it was a bad idea. I still keep going back though. I do like knowing someone can spell and carry out a conversation before going on a date with them.

Wait so this has turned into a legitimate thread? Ok then!

It was always legitimate. Although, it should have first been called PeaHarmony. Or Peamanticizer or EHarmopea.
Edit: Just finally watched that "Video for Briona", I'm almost crying, I'm laughing so hard. Unfortunately, however, the pet name "baby girl" has lost all charm now.

I've been off/on internet dating, and had some good experiences (a few bad experiences as well). Like Shax said, there's a lot of crap, but if you actually give an honest effort it can pay off. Nothing ever resulted in any long term relationships (I think my longest was like 4 months?), but I met a lot of cool people. There were definitely some legit crazies on there, but if you don't take it too seriously it can be fun.

I have awesome plans. I have a hockey game and then I'm going to the shitty pub across the street from my apartment for wing night. I may even wear sweat pants to the bar, because fuck it. VALENTINES DAY GET AT ME!

I'm totally getting wings tonight too! Then I'm going to go for a swim and workout as my present to myself.
