The funny thing is, it felt like both bands were totally mailing in their performances, but Tool still came across as badass motherfuckers melting the entire audience's minds, while Sigur Ros just came across as disingenuous.

I think Maynard Ivory Wayans mails in every performance. Disinterest is his style. But Tool has lots of neat stuff on stage to make up for it.

I think Maynard Ivory Wayans mails in every performance. That is why he stands out in the parking lot, there is a mailbox out there.

Unfortunately I doubt it'll ever happen cause they could sell the gorge out solo style. A little early in the season for this assertion? Usually we don't hear this until all the newbs show up in February. Well shucks, I am a newb and I ain't never been here in February.

I'll just throw this out there. What about Atoms For Peace? They have an album coming out sometime early 2013. Nothing's been mentioned about touring yet but they did play Coachella a couple years back. It'd be nice to have a little Thom Yorke/Flea action this go-around.
Maybe I should have posted this in the wish-list thread since this seems like a longshot...

Blur playing Primavera a week before Sasquatch... Awesome. I was hoping I would finally see them next year. Coachella confirmation.

For real. That's awesome. Confession: I've never gotten into Blur, by which I mean I've barely listened to them. Time to start.

Actually, looks like Blur will be at Primavera DURING Sasquatch as well.

A mutual friend of Pea and I's said that Portishead, Knife Party, and the Mau5 will be at Squatch '13. He's definitely got the connections to make these types of calls, and has been right in the past. Guess we'll see.

Knife Party, Knife Party... aren't they responsible for relieving Breaking Bad of its timelessness in one fell swoop?

I can dig it. I saw Portishead last year, and even though it's not the kind of thing I need to see again...the Gorge. Mainstage Mau5 would be the shit.

Local Natives are playing Seattle on April 26th. Pretty much seals the deal for Coachella, but does that mean Sasquatch is out? Hmm
