Killers just got announced as the headliners of Deck the Hall Ball in Seattle today.

I think we need a 2013 rampant speculation thread. These are threads that bring fresh meat, so we might as well make token attempts at keeping them concise.
I'll do it later if someone else doesn't do it first. Right now I'm playing Mario Party and listening to Oingo Boingo.

I was disappointed when I saw The Killers were the headliner for DTHB...but if it means they won't show up at Sasquatch, I'm happy.

Wow, Killers and Muse would be fantastic. Then the other two headliners could be Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. Sold.

If that's the case they might as well invite the Flaming Bubble Boy too.

Hey Owen, when can we suggest bands for AZ?
Because... you know... Primus...

Less Muse, More Tool I say! Tool is great live, saw them in 2008 and it was absolutely life changing.

You'll find plenty of people to agree with you here, but I'm not one of them. While I wouldn't mind seeing Tool, having them at Sasquatch would draw the most insufferable crowd of assholes the Gorge has seen since Kings of Leon and Ben Harper were there in 2009. Not that a Muse crowd would be any better. Not worth the trade-off.

Man I went to sleep every fucking night that year to Cinema. Oofda

I feel like I'm being anti-trolled.

Not that a Muse crowd would be any better. Not worth the trade-off. The thing about Tool is that they appeal to so many different crowds that I don't think it would matter too much. Sure, there'd be a load of douchebro metal heads who listen to Tool for the "heavy n deep brah", but they probably wouldn't be noticeable. Tool at Sasquatch would blow my mind. Their last Seattle show in 2010 is still in my top 5 best shows I've seen.

In all fairness, a Primus crowd would be just as bad if not worse. My guess is worse. Mean, ugly people.

Still think Primus-->Tool on the main stage would be the sickest sick that Sasquatch has ever sicked.

I really don't think one act will make a massive difference in the overall crowd of Sasquatch. Unless Chad gets to pick the 2013 lineup I think we'll be fine.

I'll have to take you're word for that since I wasn't there, but that was a whole day, not one band.
And back then they actually sold single day tickets. I'm doubting Tool or Primus would attract enough people to pay over $300 to see that one band and just be assholes for the rest of the weekend.
I could be wrong though.

I wasn't going to help you prove your point though. In 2006, there was a mass exodus of combat boots and black fingernail polish Saturday morning, quickly replaced by colorful sundresses and pro-fitted Nike hats.

The crowd in 2009 was DEFINITELY effected by the lineup.
