Just throwing it out there that even though I don't know what Pea's cartoon means (because I don't watch much TV), I still think it's hilarious.

I had a rough idea of what it meant, but you still got me to click the link. I'm not sure this is really a compliment, but I don't think I've ever clicked a non-Pea youtube link unless I was really really really drunk. (I clicked a couple Friendly Wilco links one night).

Peatube links are usually only satisfying while drunk anyway.

Simple: Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, The Shins, Phoenix /thread Phoenix headlining would make my life. I would love for them to be there.

It would be the first year I've attended where I wasnt really excited for a headliner, but also the first year where I would probably see all of them. The exception could be the Black Keys if there is something good in the dance tent.

The exception could be the Black Keys if there is something good in the dance tent. The only headliner I saw last year was the Foos and I had an amazing weekend. This is why I can't really get too upset if the headliners are as lame as what everyone is thinking they will be...still going to be an awesome time.

I have a feeling this year's lineup will be more like 2010 than 2011.

It is always fun to go to a late night womp party but I sure hope they don't spend all of their money pandering to the nu-rave kids. I do not want to see pacifiers at Sasquatch.

Just because this is the rampant speculation thread I'll throw this out there. I can't see them straying too far from last year's model since it was a the fastest sellout (except when they tried to release more tickets that they couldnt sell on stubhub). The reunion acts last year weren't a big hit so I dont see snacks going out of his way to get something like that back again. I'm expecting just as much if not more EDM acts, perhaps a 3rd late night set and at least 1 big mainstream headliner.
More EDM doesnt really matter much to me. It stays in the dance tent and late night sets and is easily avoidable if it isnt something I am interested in. Big headliners can be hit or miss, but I never see all of the headliners anyway so if the big name isnt something I'm interested in I'll get over it. My biggest concern would be a really lazy undercard. If they blow their wad on huge EDM acts and headliners and just fill the daytime with crap I will be pretty choked.
And I'm with stormy, if I see lots of pacifiers I might have to reconsider my lifelong commitment to this festival.

I can't say I would blame them because that is clearly what was most successful last year but I just worry that I'm less and less part of the target audience. I'm still hoping snacks says fuck you and books people like Portishead, Nick Cave, and The Cure as the headliner

I have a feeling this year's lineup will be more like 2010 than 2011. That would be awesome if it was. 2010 had the best headliners out of the four years I've gone to the festival.
