I didn't go last year so this may not be new. But I just opened up the Map, for really no good reason, and I noticed two things
- Between the Yeti and Bigfoot Stages is the RedLaser Acoustic Tent - The Sasquatch stage is no longer sponsored by xbox but instead by Need for Speed The Run and is now just called Main Stage
Are these things new?

Not sure about the main stage, but the acoustic tent sounds new.

I saw the RedLaser Acoustic tent earlier today, but assumed it was there last year because it is in the same location of some sort of structure I never entered. Anyone go in that building with the entrance near the giant shower? EDIT: Also that map still says, "Sasquatch 2011," so I didn't think it was new.

I guess I never went in that structure so I am not sure. I notice they do not have that giant Red Bull dance structure on the map.

There was definitely an acoustic tent last year, but I had no idea where it was. The End radio station held "VIP" sessions with artists in there.

Anyone go in that building with the entrance near the giant shower? Yea it was just a building with PS3's or Xbox's where you could play Need For Speed.

Ireland? Pshaw- I'm living in Edinburgh, Scotland doing my PhD in Linguistics its a big change from friendly canada- I miss the mountains and open skies, but its pretty cool being out here in a really well known lab in the field doing my own thing- although really research hasn't fully geared up yet and I"m still finding my way.
Haven't seen much music here yet either- but tomorrow is Mariachi el Bronx, which i'm mad excited for.
*very* sad to be missing Sasquatch this year though.

doing my PhD in Linguistics. You need one of those just to understand what people in Scotland are saying. Dem sum tick axents arint dey boi? Have you been introduced to the alarming acceptance of brutal violence in the nightlife yet? Or how to be "bottled" or "glassed" is part of the venacular? Have you been introduced to chav/knacker/traveller culture yet? They have the best hair cuts. And the biggest and the most rings ever. What a strange and wonderful land. All the best dude!

Ha- I'm in Edinburgh, not Glasgow, so the accents are actually pretty metropolitan, and the clubs aren't at all violent- I've only gotten into a few scuffles and they ended before they started when I started barking and people backed down- that being said, my much smaller friend *did* get bottled at some point when we were out randomly- but it got us free VIP for life at that club- so totally worth it Not that many chavs here either- at least in the city center- but I've seen a few and had a good laugh- although in all fairness I'm rocking a short mohawk to go with my sweet moustache for movember- so if I wore a track suit I'd look fully chav- and I've been drinking tons of this cheap arse cider too... oh no, has the transformation begun?

So I'm going to guess that we'll get our first headliner sometime this week. Since this is around the time we got it last year.

They'll probably have the biggest headliner playing Friday again, and that may be the first announced to get the hype going.

Which means brace yourselves for a shitstorm of noobs. Still, pretty exciting. Thanks cbats.

I predict that re-entry will seriously reduce the amount of looting. It will also increase the amount of alcohol poisoning cases.
