I know nothing about Prince's 90's output. Diamonds and Pearls, Love Symbol Album, Gold Experience & Emancipation to name a few No, but seriously, I know you guys all love Prince, but I couldn't vote for him having literally never heard any of his 90's output. EDIT: I know that was intended for Blacksmile, but I feel the same as him.

The only album I've ever heard or owned of his is Purple Rain. I will check these out in due time, especially if I decide to go see his show.

I don't mean to shit on Alice in Chains, but seriously, the way he sings reminds me of Scott Stapp. I actually dig some of their songs until I hear his voice, and then I'm all, wow these guys are the reason there is Nickleback. That's when I stop taking them seriously. This is a really, really, horrible post dude... If you want to point a finger at anyone for that singing style then Vedder would be the one.

I know nothing about Prince's 90's output. Diamonds and Pearls, Love Symbol Album, Gold Experience & Emancipation to name a few Diamonds and Pearls was okay, but I really liked the Symbol album. Hard to believe that was the last Prince album I really got into, and that was almost 20 years ago. Also why I voted for Elliott Smith.

He has nothing to do with this discussion. This is between Elliot Smith and Alice in Chains. Let them fight their own battles.

Sorry, I just think the way he changes how the words sound reminds me of how Scott Stapp does the exact same thing.

ROUND of 24
1. Beck 2. Nirvana 3. Elliot Smith 4. 2Pac
-----
5. Rage Against the Machine 6. the Pixies 7. Tool 8. Radiohead
-----
9. Smashing Pumpkins 10. Weezer 11. Green Day 12. Daft Punk
This seems like it's biased against hip hop. There was 2 artists left and they ended up against each other.

As probably made aware, I am a huge Pearl Jam fan, and I would agree with you Davers that "Last Kiss" is a wretched song. How the fuck it became a single, and one of their biggest, is beyond me.
I would not judge them based on that song.
