You should listen to Bachelor #2. It has several of the songs from Magnolia on it, and the rest of them are very much in the same vein. It was recorded concurrently with the soundtrack. So fucking good.

Her Christmas show brings joy and cheer to all. I really hope I can see it again sometime.

It was in with the million CDs that I pulled out of limbo yesterday afternoon. It's one of my most favorite records and I haven't heard it in years. There have been afternoons where Bachelor #2 struck me in just such a way that I haven't wanted to listen to anything but Aimee Mann for once. Plus she was in The Big Lebowski, which is unassailably awesome.

Uhh yea. This new Grizzly Bear is really starting to pop. Still waiting for the final third of the album to fully click, but tracks 1-6 are just fantastic.

I seriously fucking hate Rick Rubin so much. The Avett Brothers are nothing more than another vanilla alt-country act now that he has them wrapped around his fat greasy sausage fingers. wait....what? Who the hell hates Rick Rubin?

Uhhh, I do. Dude has homogenized the sound of rock music to a greater extent than anyone that ever lived with the exception of Phil Spector.

Am I missing something? This is the guy at least partly responsible for: The Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Public Enemy, LL Cool J, revitalizing Johnny Cash's career, the one redeemable Chili Peppers album and the two most bad ass songs of the last 20 years or so:
So what, he made a couple shitty Weezer and Metallica albums and now it's not cool to like Rick Rubin anymore? What the fuck ever

I'm not concerned with whether or not it's cool to like Rick Rubin.
