That Menomena thing is pretty much all you got on me, isn't it. You have nearly 15,000 posts, and I have a memory. Wanna play Grammy? Then how come the Menomena thing -- which was half-legit in the first place -- is basically the only burn you ever manage to pull out yo ass?

Oh, nice. That's already a better list than last year. Stoked to see that Elastica album being released on vinyl.

You have nearly 15,000 posts, and I have a memory. Wanna play Grammy? Then how come the Menomena thing -- which was half-legit in the first place -- is basically the only burn you ever manage to pull out yo ass? You are only removing your granny pants and putting on your big boy pants because you want me to post more often, which means you win even when you lose. Regardless, I'll play... I call you out for all of the stupid shit you post, just like I call out everyone else on the board for posting stupid shit. Why always the Menomena bit? It's the one time you have publicly admitted to being wrong, even though it took a couple boarders stating Menomena is awesome live, and me turning your right ear into a new defecation device when arguing the point. Every other time I call you out, you silently ignore it. It's a good strategy. Ignoring things makes them go away, unless it's like an STD or something. I also come back to your Menomena buffoonery because it's something which actually hits home with me. When you tell someone they are idiots for bringing their kids to music festivals, I don't call you out. It's because I'm wondering why those idiots chose to have kids in the first place. I like Menomena, I don't like kids. I can still dominate you in that argument if I was so inclined. (I am asking for trouble, and I know it.) One of your more accurate posts.

I didn't admit to being wrong, I admitted to having changed my mind. I chose the wrong approach when trying to articulate why I didn't enjoy the Menomena show at the Doug Fir, but that doesn't change the fact that I thought it was a boring show.
Additionally, even though Menomena changed my mind about their live performances at Sasquatch, not wanting to see a band because the member of the band that you actually enjoy left and took his songs with him is entirely valid. I was wrong to say that Menomena is not -- objectively speaking -- a good band, because they're still all very talented, etc. It's NOT wrong to say that the last two Menomena albums aren't nearly as good as their first two.

You can listen to an album 300 times, and then argue what is great and not-so-great about it. That's an educated opinion, and you are good at it. Your problem is that you try to parlay your expansive knowledge of studio albums into a dominate opinion of what is good live, and you fall flat on your face. Your opinion of how great a live act is is already made the minute you walk in the door. That is why you should continue trying to convince people your opinion of albums is valid, and stop trying to convince people your opinion of live music is valid.

I was going to say that is actually pretty awesome, then I watched the video and listened to her talk for a minute before the song and she just bothered me for some reason.
I wonder if more than 30 people at that show knew that song or who the Flaming Lips even are.

That is embarrassingly terrible. I've been a Miley fan since Meet Miley Cyrus. That's something I don't typically admit in public, but fuck it, this is the internet. Even still, I can't bring myself to watch the train wreck that is undoubtedly contained in that link.
