I would like to point out once again that I once witnessed Skrillex have to stop in middle of his set because the mouse pad on his macbook failed. They eventually brought out another laptop, but still one of the biggest live fails I've ever seen. I guess the term live is used loosely when you are talking about a laptop dj. I know he has since moved on to CDJs, but that shit still happened.

Just read an article in Spin magazine about The National making a Grateful Dead tribute album.
"According to Relix, the band got approval from the surviving members of the Dead — happy belated birthday to the sadly deceased Jerry Garcia — and guests will most likely include members of Bon Iver, Vampire Weekend, the Walkmen, the War on Drugs, and Kurt Vile & the Violators. The Dessners also hope that Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo and Yo La Tengo's Ira Kaplan, both huge Deadheads, will contribute."- Spin magazine
I am extremely happy about this. The National have talked about it for a couple years now. It is finally happening.
The bad news....Helms Alee will no longer be releasing an album in 2013. The good news....Helms Alee will be releasing a new album in 2014. The best news....Helms Alee will be releasing this new album via Sargent House! A match made in heaven. One of my favorite PNW bands teaming up with one of my favorite labels in the world. I am so exited this is happening
In even weirder Death Grips news, they apparently never intended on showing up to any of their recent missed shows. They say that the "show" was just the empty drum set, the fan suicide note, and a cd of Death Grips music playing. What in the hell?
