Why the fuck does everyone keep going ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON and blah blah blah about Wildhorse's amazing food? Sasquatch isn't a destination for foodies. It's a festival. Food is so low on my list of priorities when I go to the Gorge. Go to Red Mill Burgers in Seattle before you leave, have the best burger of your life, and then save $100 on camping with pregnant women. Wildhorse is awesome, and one of the many reasons is the fact that when you stumble back after a freaking amazing day at squatch you get to drunkenly yell "WILD BURGER" and have a gift from the heavens delivered to you. It becomes a Sasquatch ritual, and you all know how that goes. The only negative thing I can say about that place is that's it's not very good if you're going alone or just with a couple people. It's way better with a group. Since my usual crew might not be making it this year I'm considering heading back to district 9. Youse guys like to rag on Wildhorse I know, but goddamn it is great. I would camp there even if there wasn't the best thing in the world happening right down the road.

I tend to remember things like a non-vegetarian man stating he doesn't like bacon. It's like a music fan not liking Radiohead.

District 9 is a great explanation of the general camping scene at the Gorge. To bypass the long line getting into the campground I drove through the wrong entrance (no one stopped me) and what I encountered was what I would picture the zombie apocalypse to look like. 10,000 drunk people blocking all the roads where people had already set up camp.
Fuck I miss Sasquatch

I don't think I've ever had to wait in line for the bus at the end of the day in four years of staying there. One time we just missed one because my super drunk buddy kept yelling "DRIVE!!!!" at the bus driver instead of stop, but that's about it.

In the dark after the show I find it a little confusing where the bus stop is at too. I know the general direction, but I start feeling lost, and think I should turn around, then there it is, the bus awaits. The ride back is always fun though. It's only a few minute drive.

In certain states of mind, the bus is a HUGE deal. I could definitely see that. (Un)luckily I'm always just drunk on the bus, which I've practiced a lot. Stoopid border.

Soooooo this band has been zooming up the Alt Nation top18 and I'd love to see them at Sasquatch. Maybe a closing set one day on the Yeti? Similar to Foster The Peoples set? I'm sure they'll be all over the festival world this summer. Atlas Genius - "Trojans" www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGmCjVbC1CY&feature=related
