Before this turns into the wish list thread, I created that thread tonight. Post your wish lists here: sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=music&thread=1598We've established fairowen knows Adam Zacks, and will provide him a list of this board's suggestions, so try to keep it manageable. Look at it this way, if you randomly met Adam Zacks at a show, and had 30 seconds to tell him who you think should play Sasquatch 2012, know that he would forget every band you mention if you provide a list of 56 instead of two. This thread is about who makes sense, a band Adam Zacks might not know much about. Alright, I better narrow down my list a bit

I think if nothing else this year we'll see an EDM subheadliner. Justice seems like the best band that can share the adoration of the typical hipsters and ravers so my vote is for them to subheadline. It'll be interesting to see what size venues they're playing at when they announce their tour.
I'll second Xiu Xiu as a wonderful live act but I find it really hard to imagine either the band or Adam Zacks thinking they're a good fit for the festival. On a related note, I would imagine that 90's alt rock reunions will be avoided after the turnout at GBV and Archers of Loaf last year (so I wouldn't hold your breath on Pulp or Superchunk although both would be wonderful surprises)

Word. Her performance on P4k's Cemetary Gates is fantastic. So was that " Big Black Mariah" cover from that Rain Dogs Revisited concert.

I was kind of only halfway interested in St. Vincent until I saw that version of Big Black Mariah. :EOUISHG:Lhnliszadf.gsr gtHEOIGSHO;GIHHOLY SHIT is what I say about that. And seriously: write that list down on a piece of paper and at the very top in bright red marker write the word [glow=red,2,300]PRIMUS[/glow]

Superheavy - Newest superbuzzband. Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Damian Marley, etc. Album apparently coming very soon? Mr. Heavenly - Just released album. Sasquatch connection in Joe Plummer. The RAA - currently touring, will continue through next year The Horrible Crowes - current side project of Gaslight Anthem frontman, just released album Handsome Furs - currently touring and awesome Austra - touring, getting a lot of buzz
I cut a lot out of this list because it was nothing more than wishlist. Too many bands are just not doing anything right now, sadly.

Oh, ooh -- how about Moonface? Tell Snack's to book Moonface. That's the one that's just Spencer Krug from Wolf Parade except for fucking sure it's more interesting than Wolf Parade ever was.
I want that one. He's even touring right now, new album and everything.
