Ugh, everytime I think about that Flaming Lips set I just get mad. It could have been amazing. When they were actually playing the songs it was great, Race for the Prize especially. But they had to ruin it by talking so god damn much.

Flaming Lips was like 80% responsible for ruining my trip. I got SO paranoid during all those stories.

Wayne loves the sound of his voice. It's like going to an unfunny NOFX concert. At least when Fat Mike talks he's just verbally abusing idiots in the crowd and making stupid jokes. Wayne Coyne just won't shut up, ever. I'm glad I didn't see them last year, Gayngs was totally worth it.

I remember two years ago walking in the entrance having people full out sprint past me toward Wookie for Mumford and sons and thinking how hilarious it was that people's cared about them that much. Weird thing is they are still getting Grammy noms for that same two year old album. Not that the Grammies matter at all... That band seems like the backstreet boys of "indie" music. Like some suit cooked them up in an office like "chicks who listen to music at work and think they are different for liking Feist will eat these guys up"

Mumford & Sons are out. They'll be in the netherlands. Thank god. Thank god is right! They aren't bad but they need to come out with new music before I see them again. The question still remains, who will be sub-headlining this year?

I do NOT like Mumford and Sons whatsoever, but they are playing Monday in the Netherlands. That leaves the rest of the weekend, so I don't think they are quite ruled out.

I hope they stick around for a while.

Every single one of you (sans HG) fucking loved Mumford & Sons until it became cool to hate them so just shut up all of you.
EDIT: And if you say you always hated them then you're fucking lying so don't try it.

Not to be the Mumford defender up in here, but they honestly killed it at Coachella last year. They had easily one of the biggest crowds I saw all weekend and they put on a really good show. Tons of energy, really engaging personalities and they seemed to be having the greatest time up there.
Sasquatch could do a hell of a lot worse (and have) than them headlining.

Mumford put on one of the top 10 sets of the entire Coachella weekend. I was entirely grateful I ended up watching them because I had no intention of doing so.

So no, I didn't expect him to talk that much.

EDIT: And if you say you always hated them then you're fucking lying so don't try it. I've always hated Mumford & Sons. Well, I didn't really HATE them before. I just didn't like them at all. Now I hate them because they've becomes successful over all those other bands that deserve the success way more than they do. I know I suck when it comes to understanding how bands get popular, but how the fuck did they get so big? They're one of the most unoriginal bands to come out in a long time but they somehow managed to get popular enough to be played on top 40 radio. Hell, even my Chad friends listen to them. I tried to recommend some similar bands to them and they just said "Why would we want to listen to shitty hipster bands?". True story.
