Sasquatch is made up of people who solely go to shows in Seattle. Didn't you guys know that?
seriously though, the radius clause rarely makes sense but for some reason it exists. When you see a band play Portland and/or Vancouver but not Seattle it's a good sign they are playing Sasquatch. SBTRkT is rad as fuck too

Looking at past tour schedules, the Proximity clause looks to be for seattle only, if a band plays Vancouver and portland but misses Seattle, they are going to be at Sasquatch, so SBTRKT will be there.
In other instances when band plays Vancouver then misses Seattle and Portland and Plays Sasquatch, it is probably the band that determines that the festival will be sufficient for those two cities.( thats the only thing that makes sense)
but the bigger picture is SBTRKT reinforces the fact the the Prox. clause has not been relaxed this year, as some have hinted, so the Bands that are going to be in seattle in march, April and May, will not be at Sasquatch, with the Possible exception of Radiohead, because they can do whatever the hell they want.

I could have sat there scratching my head for twenty minutes trying to come up with a list of chad bands and would have come up with like half that many, and half of those would probably just be made up band names that sound to me like the names of chad bands.

Holy balls, that is terrible. Yeah, thats just not good at all. I have no idea how popular this dude is, we aren't talking headliner dance tent/late night right? More along the lines of where Fly Lo or the Glitch Mob were last year?

It looks like they're playing the Wonder Ballroom in Portland which is only moderately sized. FlyLo is a good comparison size wise. They're touring with Machinedrum and Sepalcure so I wouldn't be surprised if one of them played too

I honestly don't think SBTRKT is all that popular. Pitchfork just tells us he is.

It looks like Trampled By Turtles are a possibility with no Seattle date. trampledbyturtles.com/shows/. They're not your typical Sasquatch fare but they have played Coachella in the past and this tour they're doing a lot more typical indie venues like the 9:30 Club.

Looks like whoever SBTRKT is will be at Sasquatch. 03/21 – Nashville, TN @ Mercy Lounge * 03/22 – Atlanta, GA @ Masquerade * 03/24 – Tampa, FL @ The Orpheum 03/25 – Miami, FL @ Ultra Music Festival 03/27 – Athens, GA @ Georgia Theatre * 03/28 – Asheville, NC @ The Orange Peel ^ 03/30 – Washington, DC @ 9:30 Club ^ 03/31 – Philadelphia, PA @ Theatre of Living Arts ^ 04/02 – Brooklyn, NY @ Music Hall of Williamsburg (DJ Set) # 04/03 – New York, NY @ Webster Hall # 04/04 – Boston, MA @ Paradise ^ 04/06 – Cleveland, OH @ House of Blues ^ 04/07 – Chicago, IL @ House of Blues ^ 04/08 – Madison, WI @ Majestic ^ 04/10 – Boulder, CO @ Fox Theatre ^ 04/11 – Aspen, CO @ Belly Up ^ 04/13 – San Diego, CA @ House of Blues * 04/14 – Indio, CA @ Coachella Music Festival 04/16 – San Francisco, CA @ The Independent * 04/18 – Portland, OR @ Wonder Ballroom * 04/21 – Indio, CA @ Coachella Music Festival While I have little doubt SBTRKT will be there, I wouldn't call him a lock. First, assuming he is not a multi-millionaire, it wouldn't make sense for him to play Seattle the night after Portland, because he has to drive back to Indio. It's not like he is intentionally skipping Seattle/Vancouver yet. Also, he is in Europe before and after the festival. Even though I dislike pretty much every band with a similar style, for I some reason I really liked the SBTRKT album.

Yeah I overlooked the Coachella intermission, but he's/they'd (?) probably have annouced a Seattle date with the other dates that follow Coachella is my thinking. It doesn't take that long to get to Dublin.

Oh yeah, by a looser Sanity Clause I am basing it off nothing more than the fact that a lot of the bands you would expect to be at a festival like Sasquatch all have dates for Seattle. These are mostly bands I hate anyways, but there are a lot of buzz bands that seem to be ruled out by the Sanity Clause that I am assuming many of the kids are wanting to see at a festival. I am sexually happy if none of them end up at Sasquatch and surprised that Snacks is not interested in snagging them, maybe a Sasquatch 2010 repeat will actually happen.
