It's already started on the Facebook page... 'LiKe AlL i WaNt iz MuMf0rD & s0n$!!! ' Dude I appreciate your want and tact to join the board, but really who the fuck are you? I don't actually mean that with malice, but you might want to post a little in the "Now Playing" thread or at the very least you can include some form of legit musical opinion in your posts before you start jumping on the bandwagon of "fuck mumford and sons, right guys?". It's cool if you aren't a big music lover. There is room for all types of conversation on this board, we ain't snobs. However, it looks super lame and annoying when you start slamming bands like Mumford and Sons when you've never even talked strongly about what music you like. That's what's so great about this place, we know where one another are coming from in terms of musical taste and we respect the fact that we share different yet always enthusiastic tastes in music. Hence why we can also tell each other that their music stinks rat's butt compared to our own and so forth. Essentially, you might want to give people a reason why they shouldn't see that last post as some serious poser bullshit. I'm not trying to say "earn your stripes", just give us a reason to believe you're not full of shit when you pull out the "mUmfOrd and SoNs sUx"

I don't think a lot of new members here really understand that there is a core group of regulars that have come to know each other on and off the board, rather than this just being a forum full of random people spouting off their opinions one after another. Nobody's fault really, but doing your homework is definitely important before attempting to integrate here for the long run.
tl:dr
Don't be a Chad stakeyjay.

Wasn't poking fun at Mumford, I was poking fun at the kids who go to festivals for one band. Mumford was the example on the facepage so I just tossed it as an example. This and the fact that we go to festivals to go to festivals seems rather childish from my viewpoint and I dislike that concept. If you look at it from my personal viewpoint, there are far too many kids at my high school that go to go rather than go to finally see the multiple bands they like. I see your point on not sharing my musical background yet, kinda makes my arguments come off as that of a douche-tool. I'll get on that...

And my acts are not similar to asking for 'hardcore' bands to headline this festival, Pea. Just that of an uneducated n00b

As someone who got roughly the same treatment for just jumping in- I'd say stick to it stakeyjay; don't let the wee little piranhas scare you from jumping in.
You may want to attempt to be funny or to have something interesting to say at some point though. That would probably help your case.
Also, everyone likes sexist avatars, so grab up one of those quickly.

One of the most tres touché moments on this board.

Why pay extra for a camping spot not close to all the action when general camping in the heart of everything is included in your already outrageously priced ticket? Maybe, I'm just a frugal poor old lady but it just makes sense to me...

we really should add 'how old were you when Dookie came out?' to the Lurkers Thread.

Maybe, I'm just a frugal poor old lady but it just makes sense to me... Because some people like to sleep. Going from general to premier for me meant going from 1-2 hours of sleep a night to 5-7. You can still walk over to general for all the parties, and then come back and crash whenever you want... and considering the amount of bands/acts that are at the festival during the 4 days, $290 is a bargain unless you're the type that shows up to see one or two bands.
