I think it's high time the Calgary folks organized a Sasquatch Board Meetup at a local pub. All boarders are welcome, but unless you live in Calgary or near here (like Edmonton) it might be tough.
I propose we meet at Craft Beer Market on 10th Avenue on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
How does Saturday Sept 24th around 3:30pm work for everyone?
Reply in-thread to indicate your interest and / or suggest changes to my choices.

I can make it to a date if I have more notice! I have to get the time off work to make the drive down! I would like to join you if I can though! I use too many exclamation points!

I'm in! I can't stick around that long though, that night is the Philharmonic doing the songs of the Beatles!

I'm teaching a first aid class that morning and the next. I'll try to make it out, but I can't guarantee I can be there.

Sounds like it'd be a good time, but alas, I will be unable to attend. We may have to meet up at a show somewhere down the way.

This can easily just be the first of several meets... If someone else wants to pick a date further out (so Souly can come) and that works for them, by all means...

ALright. I'll be at Craft Beer Market (345 10 Ave SW, Calgary AB) at 3:30pm on Saturday, Sept 24. I'll grab a table for 4-6 somewhere in the bar, hopefully on the main floor (same floor as the main bar, for those who have never been there). I'll try to find something near the windows. Since we don't all know what everyone else looks like, just find me and introduce yourself. I'm generally pretty hard to miss. Right now I have a sort of trucker look going on: I'll have the same moustache and sideburns and be wearing the same light blue baseball cap, so I can't imagine you'd miss me. The customary greeting is "Hi J-Dawg, I'm _________, let me buy you a beer" although just the "Hi J-Dawg I'm __________" will suffice I suppose :-). Looking forward to meeting you guys and gals. And again, all boarders (including lurkers) are welcome.

Although I will not be at this meet up, I can attest that that is indeed J-Dawg, and he looks much less creepy IRL.

I think you should wear the el wire cowboy hat. At 3:30pm it would just look like a cowboy hat with some stupid wire glued to it with way too much hot glue. It doesn't glow bright enough to really matter during the daytime.

Should I grow a mustache for the occasion as well?

Should I grow a mustache for the occasion as well? You should grow a mustache for every occasion, wompwomp.

Aren't Canadians only supposed to wear a mustache one week out of the year or something?

I've never done Movember, mostly because I hate being clean-shaven, and you're supposed to start the month out clean-shaven.

So, what is the deal there? You start out clean shaven, then grow out your facial hair.
I think I run into at least one guy every year who says they are not going to shave all winter, or in some instances not cut their hair either.

I googled it, and figured out it is just mustaches.

the reality is that a lot of people can't grow a solid mustache, so Movember results in all kinds of hilarity.
