Speaking of late night, how come whenever one posts a comment, three hours are added to their post time? If we all live on the west coast, shouldn't the clock on this site be west coast time? I am probably way out of line, I guess you are all east coast folk. Originally this message board was made by someone who lives on the east coast. I think it would be appropriate to change the time. I will look into it.

Sorry for all this off topic chatter.

Thanks Mr. Mod. Keep up the good work.
As for the topic of this thread, it would be cool if the late night show was a band people might want to stick around for. Ozomatli and Pollyphonic Spree, no thanks. Then again, it is probably not easy convincing a band to play two sets in one day six hours apart, especially if the crowd would be a fraction at the second show. I would think a lot of the bands would rather enjoy the festival with a couple beers after their show is done.
As for tickets to these late shows, do they turn you away if you don't have the special Verizon pass?

I think a good late night show or two, on two of the nights is the main thing Sasquatch is missing. I guess the problem is that not enough people camp onsite and would end up missing it, so they wouldn't think it to be justifiable. I know the night shows are always some of the most fun at Bonnaroo, but it would seemingly be nicer at S'quatch...(less neighbors to pay off, shorter return walk to the campground, lower temps/humidity in the morning to allow you to catch up on sleep, etc).

I thought the Polyphic Spree performed a late night snow because they're main stage set was cut short because of the wind storm? I thought that was the case as well. There were maybe 25 people there for the late show, it certainly wasn't advertised. I ended up on the same flight back to Dallas with the Spree(consequently touring the US with them in Chicago, Milwaukee, New Orleans).

I think there is a noise ordinance that keeps them from scheduling official late night shows.
I used to work for a radio sponsor of the gorge. I think at least in 2006 and prior, Grant County had a noise ordinance of 10pm and then a special agreement with the gorge for midnight on weekends and holidays. I remember everybody was really concerned after the hailpocalypse and Stupid Ben Harper telling the organizers he wouldn't play past a certain hour and the Lips agreed to play the last slot. Then Stupid Ben Harper got all selfish and played a retarded long set for all the frat bags and drunk soccer moms that were still left. After the Flaming Lips went on we were just waiting for the county to step in and say something or for one of the redneck locals to start shooting.

hahah man what an epic night that was. i still thought ben harper was pretty great. but there was some douchebag beside me screaming "burn one down! play burn one down!" for the entire set. and of course ben and the criminals waited till the last song of the 3rd (or 4th) encore to fulfill the guy's wish. but the Flaming Lips show was one of the best I've ever seen.

Wow, that Ben Harper show was the best concert I have ever seen!!! I was wearing my Ben Harper tee shirt, and I kept screaming "burn one down! Play burn one down!" He finally played it at the very end, probably because he heard me screaming it. I was hi 5ing all of my fraternity brothers when that happened! We did a couple greek chants after that, it was so AMAZING!!! I didn't stay for the next show though, because I had never heard of the band playing, and I had an appointment to get my hair frosted the next morning anyway.
I really hope he headlines! I think I will make a sign this year "Play burn one down!" and hold it up after every song. That would be a dream come true if Jack Johnson played right before Ben Harper, man o man, wow! And the Cold War Kids! And a Sublime reunion!!! Otherwise I will probably go to Coachella, that lineup is AMAZING!!! Killers!!!

I'm not sure which tour schedule you saw, but Animal Collective is playing Vancouver, BC on May 24 and Portland on May 25, with no Seattle show. I would be AMAZED if they do not play Sasquatch on Saturday.

I think dusty was implying that they probably wouldn't do a late night show because they play other shows the next 2 nights. I think we can all agree that they will almost definitely be there on Saturday.

So I think there should be a late show with Animal Collective, a late late show with Ghostland Observatory, followed by Radiohead and topped off with Daft Punk!

Has anyone heard anything about late night shows this year? Chromeo playing a DJ set, and having nothing else scheduled near then makes me think they would be a great choice. I think most of us would rather see a live show rather than their DJ set, which might be tough to attend in a small tent.
