I'm not sure that a moog really qualifies as a broken keyboard.

Pemberton has been putting stupid shit on their facebook for the last couple of weeks with no real indication of if they are actual clues or they are just fucking around. They have put up like 5 random artists confirming they won't be playing.
They also posted *lightning bolt* + *paperclip* + something I forgot. I can't get on facebook right now, but that seemed like the only other actual clue.
I'd be surprised if it was Outkast since they are in the UK the first week of July (2 weeks before this festival) but, again, planes.

Squamish line-up tomorrow. Should be interesting. Pemberton put this on their facebook today. Any thoughts? Should be clues for the lineup? Unless they are just fucking around. From Vancouver Concert Addicts FB Page - www.facebook.com/ConcertAddicts?fref=ts

Well, headliners are Arcade Fire, Eminem and Bruno Mars. Shocker.
And the undercard isn't really that strong, dwindles out vey quickly for me. I think my only highlights really are Arctic Monkeys and Lykke Li. Oh and We Are the City, didn't see them at the bottom there.

Definitely top heavy. The top line acts are all huge draws, but what is there after that? Arctic Monkeys, Danny Brown, The Roots, Kevin Drew. Does anybody know off the top of their head what the crossover was between Squamish and Sasquatch last year?

Wow, I honestly didn't believe it was going to go that way. Go know. Hope Lykke Li and Thievery Corporation will 'squatch it up.

Holy crap! Camping is $350 a spot this year. I know that it's good for up to 4 people but c'mon, even Coachella is only $85 a spot!
Edit: I was too shocked to scroll down and notice that they're doing glamping again this year for... wait for it... $1000 a spot!!

The crossover from Squatch to Squam was basically nothing last year. I wouldn't count on it.
What a joke of a lineup. A couple of gems in the undercard and Eminem is pretty cool since he never comes up here, but I really thought they were going to do better than this.
Tickets will probably sell well though, which is maybe the most frustrating thing ever.

Yup. I was pretty stoked in the direction the Fest was heading given last year's lineup but it seems to have middled out into a Billboard type amalgamation. Bruno Mars as a headliner is just....unforgivable.
To be fair, there's about seven or eight acts I'd be happy to see, but I'll probably end up seeing half of those at Sasquatch. Arctic Monkeys just did two sold out nights in Vancouver in December, Foster the People is playing Deer Lake in May...hopefully Danny Brown can make it over the border. I'll still probably get tickets because of Arcade Fire. Eminem would be nice simply because he's a legend but sitting through his new shit amidst the crowd this lineup will bring in is gonna blow.
Pressure's on Pemberton to step up the BC festival game...and as long as it's closer to Hangout's lineup than Squamish's I'll be happy.

Macklemore and Vampire Weekend were both there.
Yeah, sadly I am disappointed with this lineup too. The undercard is pretty shitty except for a few acts. Basically each day I would maybe like to see 3-5 sets... and I do not know if that's worth spending all the money to attend a festival.
Like you said though davers, passes will sell. FUCK.
Do you guys think Eminem will have a tour date in Vancouver as well? Need to see that mother fucker before hes done with his career.
At least passes go on sale after Sasquatch is announced so I have an opportunity to decide where to go. I can't afford both this year.

No. Just like Arcade Fire, I'm sure this fest will serve as his Vancouver date. As much as I really want to see Arcade Fire in Squamish with the mountain backdrop, I'm not sure if I can justify the cost of this fest, especially once you add in the ridiculous camping costs. I read on the concert addicts Facebook page that about 30 more acts should be added over the next few months (makes it sound like this is only half the lineup with that many adds), so I'll probably still buy a ticket during the presale and make my mind up later if I'm actually going.

No chance Eminem does a Vancouver show.
This is insanely expensive. $250+fees pre-sale passes. $350+fees/4 = ~$100 for camping.
You're looking at probably $400 (~$360 American) just to go to this thing. That's slightly more than Sasquatch and slightly less than Coachella.
The door is open for Pemberton now. Both fests cost about the same, so if they can put together a more coherent lineup it might not flop too hard.

Davers, don't forget to add in parking, it doesn't come with camping unless you're doing premium (and at a grand, they best be throwing in parking. Hell, those "concierge services" should be someone getting me drinks and fanning me with palms during the day!).
I really hope Pemberton announces their lineup before presale for Squamish begins. If it's more coherent and similar to my tastes (which if it's like Hangout fest as rumoured, it might be), I might try that one out instead.

That's alright. Maybe he'll hit up another arena close by in Alberta or Washington.
Pemberton removed the "Outkast" photo from their facebook.. weird.

I'd almost consider a hotel or staying with some people I sort of know. Or offsite campgrounds.
The first year when they didn't have camping I slept on a friend of a friend's couch and it was only a 30 minute drunken stumble to the venue. Hardly more than the walk at Sasquatch.
