This is a festival I used to like, but now I think Live Nation fucked it up and it is way overpriced. That beings said I'm still going since I made a promise before the lineup and pricing came out. squamishfestival.com/lineup

I may pick up a single day ticket for sunday since Metric got moved to then. $90 ain't bad for Weezer, Metric, Major Lazer, and Black Mountain (and to a lesser extent The Dudes, Zolas, and Belle Game) on the same day.

Anyone out there know if we're camping next to our cars sasquatch-style or if we have to park elsewhere and lug our stuff over to the camping area? I sent them an email a while ago with some questions but have yet to hear back...
Also, Davers or anyone else going, have you received your tickets in the mail yet? I got my camping passes weeks ago via email. Now I'm getting ancy waiting on the rest and starting to think it's time to contact them.

I dont think I've gotten my tickets yet (I got them sent to my parents house since I recently moved) but they said they were in the mail last week. I'd give them another few days and then raise a stink next week if things dont show up.
Pretty sure we camp by our cars since I asked if we could drink beer in the campground (cause, you know, canadian drinking laws are weird) and they said technically no since it's a park, but as long as security doesnt see a keg in your car you should be fine. I kinda took that as we will be driving in and parking by our tents. But, I cant be sure.
So you got camping passes in an email eh... I guess I should start checking all my random email accounts because I cant for the life of me remember which email I gave when I ordered the tickets.

Yeah, I got the camping passes about a month ago via email. I ended up sending an email yesterday about the ticket right after I posted this so we'll see if I get a response.
Thanks for your info on the camping, it didn't even cross my mind that we might not be allowed to drink at our campsites.

I was expecting my tickets in the mail sometime soon because the website said tickets in the mail in august, so i called to see if anything had been sent, they looked at my account and said nothing had been sent and they could send them if i wanted. I got them to e-mail me aas the tickets probably wouldn't arrive in time, it was a really easy process, although i would have much preferred hard tickets.

Same thing happened to me. I find it a bit annoying they never told me that my tickets hadnt been sent and left it up to me to call them though.

Well, I finally got my act together and called them yesterday since I hadn't received my ticket yet. The guy pulled up my account and said they had never even printed it. Then asked me if I knew why I was getting one comp ticket as well. I told him I only bought one ticket and had no clue about any comp tickets.... even though I told him it probably wasn't meant for me, he insisted on still emailing it to me since it was in my account.
So I got an extra weekend pass for free! kinda cool.

Man this sounds like one of the most poorly organized events ever.

Man this sounds like one of the most poorly organized events ever. Haha you were obviously not at Pemberton. It was off the charts on the disorganized scale. Apparently they had to fly Jay Z in with a helicopter because traffic was so bad.

No wonder Canadians love to come to U.S. American festivals.

Maybe this is more organized than I thought. The camping manager just called me to introduce himself, ask if I had any questions and check what time I would be showing up so they could make sure they had enough staff for checking everyone in.
I'm still sorta expecting a clusterfuck, as with all camping music festivals I have been to, but they may prove me wrong.

I got the same phone call last night. They do sound fairly organized. Even dealing with not getting my tickets mailed was easy. I called today, and was on the phone less than 2 minutes and had the tickets in my email inbox.

My friends all got their tickets, but it seems everyone on the interwebs didnt. Maybe they figure interwebs people prefer emailed tickets.
