Davers is really under-selling how much nicer glamping is. The regular camping was not just packed, but everyone's tents were touching and there was literally no room to walk between anything. And the heated flushing toilets were a godsend at 2 AM when I was freezing. But yes, the price is really hard to swallow regardless.

It's true, last year regular camping was literally district 9. I'm thinking it was because they never expected to have it there and will be better prepared this year.
Glamping has the added bonus of being able to wander into the staff camping. Despite the fact they they all have work tomorrow they party harder than most of the festival goers. They have no restrictions on what they can bring in, so there are RVs with movies projected on the side of them and massive tents with wall art, lights and people playing poker. I remember a stripper pole as well.
If you can spare $120 without much concern, I say go for it.

The pole was great, they took it down due to head injuries though. There was a fire in the staff area that was a lifesaver one night. There were people from bands jamming with an acoustic, excellent at 3am. The regular was really bad, www.pangcouver.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/P1040063-1.jpgThe glamping was pretty tight in places as well, when we first got there they told us it was too full and we would only get 10x10 instead of the advertised 15x15. A tough thing with a 10x12 tent. We said OK, set up along the main path and posted to their facebook that it was 10x10 and they immediately came and sorted us all out. I will have a BBQ going this year, last year it didn't work and my solution was to not eat for 4 days.... Not again! Stop by for some steak!

I have made pizzas on the bbq, Nachos could be doable.

I emailed and asked if the general camping was gonna be as tightly packed as last year. Their response:
We have a brand new grassy campground with plenty of room. It is festival camping so it isn't going to be like staying in a Provincial campground but we will have more space than last year.

Sounds pretty decent, last year it was half grass half dirt/rocks. I wonder if it will be 'on-site' though. It doesn't say one way or the other on the site, and there aren't really any other grassy areas around the festival that I know of. Could turn out to be a few blocks down the road or something. Did they say anything about the location?
If I ended up paying an extra $60 for flush toilets and showers that I don't use I'm gunna be pissed.

Same as last year, we are camping off-site for free, but I definitely plan to invade your respective spaces for beers and spacepoops.

weenie I'm too lazy to get pictures off my broken laptop and post them, I have albums on the facebook, it should be fairly obvious what the campground looks like.

I think you were camped directly across the path from us last year. But I don't know if I met you.

I'm pretty sure the tent/canopy to the very left in the 2nd picture is Curtis's. I'm also pretty sure I met the dude with corn rows at some point. My friend has an afro, they talked about hair. You must have seen him.
