To keep things easy to read, lets use this thread strictly to keep track of the confirmations as they are found out, and the "2009 Who is Going to Be There" thread for discussion (as it is being used now).
I also got rid of a few redundant "who is going to be there this year" threads.

nice find dustin, maybe next next you can investigate which one of them does that damn whistling? Or do they all whistle? Honestly I'd rather hear that Bird guy whistle. Maybe he'll come too and they can have a whistling dual!! (what is the blog address?)

Is no one going to respond to my post in the other thread? John Vanderslice said he's going to be there on KEXP. I guess I can't cite it on the internet, but there it is.

Even though my mind unintentionally misconstrued John Vanderslice as David Vandervelde at first, once the correction was made I was still pumped. Great addition, though between him and Sun Kil Moon that's enough elder-aged acoustic acts, with due respect, because I'm not going to stand in my puddle of tears for three fucking days.
Put them back to back, though, or in the same spot in two different days, and I'll be standing, swaying, crying, remembering, listening.

PS I think the line-up is shaping up great, so far.

I got an email this morning from someone who was trying to book Grizzly Bear, and was told that it wouldn't be possible because Grizzly Bear would be at Sasquatch.
Not an outside-verified, but I'd at least put this in the strong-likely category at least.

We have very good connection that is certain these following artists are confirmed “Just In”
Cold play will headline one night (not to high on that but its true)
The killers may show as a headline when they get pooped down the line from their current headline spot at Coachella (very likely).
Wolf Parade ( confirmed ) Animal collective ( confirmed ) KOL ( confirmed ) She and Him ( Ben will be there ) ( confirmed ) Mogwai ( confirmed / possible conflict) Snow patrol or the Fray (they won’t both show) Keane ( confirmed ) M83 ( confirmed ) Johnny Flynn ( confirmed )

Our nice little web board is infected by our first Coachella boarder claiming to have inside knowledge. Please post your comment here instead: www.coachella.com/forum/This type of person posts "insider knowledge" in order to get attention from people, because they are usually not smart enough to make a logical point. If you agree with them, they laugh at how much of an idiot you are, if you disagree, they bash you with obscenities and ridiculous comments. EDIT: Feb 6th, if you have made it this far, and are wondering what other bands may be confirmed, pages 2 through 8 of this thread contain only a confirmation of the Avett Brothers rumor. The rest is a troll who created multiple accounts claiming to have insider info on confirmations of ridiculous bands and arguing about it with himself, and others. I would go here to read legitimate rumors and confirmations (as posted above). sasquatchmusicfestival.blogspot.com/

i hope that's completely false, and it very likely is. the killers play a seattle show in april already. coldplay are alright but i'd rather someone else headline. snow patrol would be a great addition as a sub-headliner, and it's not too far fetched to think they might show up (but are they the type to play festivals?)

Mogwai, She&Him and Wolf Parade along with PB&J would be enough to get me down there. But this dude has no evidence to back up his claims, so I'm not believing any of it.
