Although I've made quite a few waiver pick ups, I think my success has a lot more to do with opponents having shitty days against me. My points for puts me near the bottom, it's my points against that keep me on top. Wonk has had the opposite luck in this aspect.

Speaking of waiver pick-ups, whoever the Man-tanners are always seem to grab the player I try to get first, almost every single week.

I'm in first but I really shouldn't be. Just getting lucky like this week where my opponent has half his team on a bye ;D I was the opposite last year. Huge points but everyone else had their best day against me.

Speaking of waiver pick-ups, whoever the Man-tanners are always seem to grab the player I try to get first, almost every single week. I'm not a fan of the waiver rules in this league. I've always played in leagues where the waiver priority is in inverse order of the draft, so the last pick has the number one priority. I didn't realize this league gives the highest waiver priority to the worst team. I didn't find that out until someone dropped Ben Tate early in the season, and since I had the last pick in the league, I knew he was mine. When he went to you (I think), I was pretty confused, so I had to read up on the rules. Looking back on it, I'm glad I didn't get him. I still think there is a lot more strategy involved in protecting your waiver pick. I could write another ten paragraphs about my waiver strategy in fantasy baseball this season (where I gave up my top pick to continually own the last pick). In other words, CHUD beats you in waiver priority every week because he reads Matthew Berry.

Yeah I don't really like the waiver format now, but I'm not sure I like the last pick getting it either, especially in a snake style draft. Until about two weeks ago I thought that the first person to attempt to pick the player up was the one that got em. As for Ben Tate, I drafted him, and then dropped him, and then picked him back up and then dropped him again...not entirely sure why.

Last place waiver is a pretty fair system, otherwise the last pick in the draft could clean up all season getting first dibs on all the breakout players.

Last place waiver is a pretty fair system, otherwise the last pick in the draft could clean up all season getting first dibs on all the breakout players. I should have been more specific. The first pick is like winning the lottery. Getting the highest waiver is a reward to the chump who got screwed with the 12th pick. Anytime you win a waiver pick, you go to the end of the line. That is true 100% of the time. Getting the 12th pick sucks, but getting first dibs on a waiver pick is a nice consolation. When the waiver order is reset every week to give a higher priority to the worst team in the league, there is much less strategy, because the Matthew Berry team gets the first pick every week.

For the record I think the waiver set up sucks. Also for the record, I've only made a total of 4 waiver claims (I'm assuming the Man Tanners are being refered to as the Matthew Berry team), 3 of which were successful, 2 of which involved Rashad Jennings whom I drafted in the first place. I didn't set the league rules and can't fault the fact that I was awarded the high waiver spot (#2 to be exact) last week which resulted in me picking up a guy that I drafted and dropped following week 1. Everyone had a total of about 7 weeks to pick up Jennings if they thought he'd be valuable.
Just so you all know, I plan on having shitty waiver positions from here on out based on the fact that I plan on winning the rest of my games. First place here I come, the rest of you can have fun fighting for waiver position.

Wonk: I feel you in a regular draft, but in a snake like we did, the last place becomes the first in the next round so I don't think it makes sense. Chud: You're right, everyone had 7 weeks to pick up a player that meant nothing until last week. Good call. . I think your team is on the rise, for real. EDIT: Just so ya'll know I wasn't actually complaining about the waiver set up, I was juss sayin'. ..and Chud, that sounded douchier than intended, sorry.

Drew scored 47 points last week. That's so terrible. My running back outscored his team.
By the way, Drew won. His opponent scored 36.

Hahaha I meant to bring that up. That is guaranteed to be my last victory of the season, unless I play said opponent again.

But Mattew Berry told me my team would be good! I don't know how I've managed to win a single game, yet alone 4.

Wow, good job rusty, change out the 49ers for the Cards. Real good choice.

I'm a 49er homer and I probably would have done the same if I had both teams. Brees is usually a point machine. He's the only reason I'm winning my other league, because the rest of my team sucks. I have THE worst luck with running backs. Between the two leagues I'm in, I've had my starting running backs injured for a incredible amount of games.

It's a fluke that you've lost so many games. It's a fluke that I've won...any games.
I can live with losing in fantasy football (also, I'm 9-2-1 in my other league and I'll post a screenshot for confirmation IF NECESSARY) - it's the basketball situation that has my balls in a tangle.
