oh there was cheese, but it didn't come from a ladel. You can see a slice peeking out to the top right of the meat/onion/pepper conglomerate.
Would have killed for some ladel cheese.

The pizza we had was the worst thing. The cheesesteak was made of miracles. And grease. I wasn't a fan of that pizza either. I purchased 2 slices Saturday night that stayed in my stomach for a good hour or so. The gyros this year were also not that great which in previous years have been my favorite thing to munch on. I finally tried the shit noodles and I know understand where the name comes from.

Strangely enough, the shit noodles were amazing last year and then went completely back to shit again this year.

Last year I had some of the worst noodles ever. I don't know what kind they were, I just know they were from the campground and they made me want to die. I did have a pretty intensely horrible e hangover though, so who really knows. The chicken strips were pretty rad this year, though.

By the way I love how this is now the "discuss vendor food" thread.

I was camped ever-so-slightly past premier, so I didn't even walk past the pizza place on my way back every night.
I did however try a number of things inside the festival, more or less, it all sucked. The chicken fingers were at least edible.
I survived primarily by having a good breakfast and lunch in the campground prior to going in for the day.

Am I the only person who brings food into the festival? My friends and I usually refer to the last day as the feast because it's when we bring in all of our leftover food from camping and eat like kings

When I'm drunk the shit vendor food looks so much more appealing than my campwiches. But I usually eat all of my food, and then buy more food at a vendor, regardless if I'm even hungry.

No, I bring in so much food every day. I try to only buy 2-3 meals in the festival grounds over the course of the festival

My friends and I usually refer to the last day as the feast because it's when we bring in all of our leftover food from camping and eat like kings We always bring food in. Sandwiches and snacks. We actually hardly ever use the vendors. But cheesesteak was on Loud Friday on the way back into camping. I had been drinking heavily all day. Chicken strips were on Monday after we had spent all morning afternoon getting seriously drunk. The pizza was a piece we split on Monday night.

fair enough, I guess I'm just so cheap I've never bought any of the vendor food. PB&J sandwiches get tiresome but they end up saving me a lot of money

I planned on doing 1 meal / day of vendor food. I did bring in apples, power bars, jerky, sandwiches and other stuff, but usually at about 8:00 after drinking all day I was like ZOMG DEEP FRIED FAILURE MUST HAVE which led to some sub-optimal decision making for the 1 meal of vendor food that day.

Honestly, though, the best deal food wise in the venue was the Chicken Strips. Strips and Fries for 9 bucks... hard to beat.

Those chicken strips tasted AFUCKINGMAZING every time my drunk ass could muster the energy to go order some. Thankfully, my girlfriend and I switched out each time we ordered food. It was definitely nice to be able to sit and watch some of my favorite bands while she had to stand in line for food. Granted, I did miss some of the shows while I did that too. Either way, I'm wanting chicken strips now...
