Oh, and Phish. But I might be taking care of that later this summer. That one is for sure. If any of you crazy boarders want to join Gramma/Stormy and I for Phish at the Gorge, let us know. We will be there, and we'll have lots of time to drink and hang out during the day.

Cat we will watch the Sigur Ros set and then move to the mainstage for Daft Punk at Coachella 2012!! I'd be way more interested in seeing Coldplay live than U2. I'll admit, I'll probably cry during "Fix You" when they play it at Coachella next year. I'm sure they'll kill it at Coachella. RHCP, not so much.

Ooooh Prince is a good one. Mutha fukin Prince. If you don't like Prince, you either have no soul, or you are taking the term "hipster" way too serious. I was lucky enough to catch him live about seven years ago, and it was amazing. I hope you know I wasn't being sarcastic there. I Had tickets to Coachella 2007 and sold them before they announced Prince, and then I cried.

I still think if he played he would headline. They seem to be moving more and more away from legacy acts so I don't see it happening but if he played (with the imposters) he would headline On topic: Of bands that I will probably see in the next couple years Sigur Ros and Neil Young are really the two that jump to mind Oh, it was you. Elvis would have a similar sized crowd as GBV, and that is truth with a capitol T. This, unfortunately.

I have never listened to Phish. I do like fish though. Not eating it, just in general.

yeah the only song by Phish that I know I've heard is their cover of Gin & Juice. Other than that I'm completely in the dark about them.
and this Phish show at the Gorge...are you talking about the Dave Matthews Caravan? or are they doing another separate Phish Festival? I can't imagine HG at a DMB festival, so I assume it's the latter.

well then.
also, ignore my other question. Phish aren't on the DMB fest at The Gorge.

Yeah, Phish is doing two nights at the Gorge in August. You wouldn't find me within shitting distance of the DMB caravan, no sir.
Listen to Hoist or Story of the Ghost. Some of their best, most interesting songwriting on those two, and while their jam band tendencies are still on display they keep them in check pretty well.

I definitely want to add The Knife to my list. Just reading about some of their antics with the media makes me love them and their wiki page suggests they may have an album coming out in 2012! One could hope at least...

Screamadelica! They have been doing the whole album live lately, my goodness that would be something to see Screamadelica is where it's at! However, i think i heard they have ZERO intentions of ever coming to the states to play it. sigh Man, I just went back and listened to Screamadelica. What a great freaking album. Never fails to put me in an awesome mood. Bestival this year is off the charts amazing. The Cure and Primal Scream doing Screamadelica is pretty much worth a ticket alone.
