[Bestival this year is off the charts amazing. The Cure and Primal Scream doing Screamadelica is pretty much worth a ticket alone. agreed

I want to participate in this thread, but due to my location and other factors, I have seen so few noteworthy shows. Thus my list would be very very long, all of your lists look good though.

Mutha fukin Prince. If you don't like Prince, you either have no soul, or you are taking the term "hipster" way too serious. I was lucky enough to catch him live about seven years ago, and it was amazing. I hope you know I wasn't being sarcastic there. I Had tickets to Coachella 2007 and sold them before they announced Prince, and then I cried. I never thought you were being sarcastic. If anyone is sarcastic about liking Prince, they should be banned. PM me if you feel inclined.

That one is for sure. If any of you crazy boarders want to join Gramma/Stormy and I for Phish at the Gorge, let us know. We will be there, and we'll have lots of time to drink and hang out during the day. If I'm not mistaken the only other Phish fan we got around here is Friendly D. What's up with that, anyway? HG, Phish are one of the few bands I have given a concerted effort in order to appreciate their music. Junta, for example, was one difficult album to learn to enjoy (IMO - I'm sure you've had more patience with certain music than I could afford), but I did, and I still pull it out every so often. I would still consider them one of my favorites, and I am happy I got the chance to see them when they finally returned to Canada in 2001 (after being stopped at the border for possession back sometime around 1996). They played Golgi-->You Enjoy Myself to finish off their first set, which for me at the time was epic. Billy Breathes is probably one of the 10 albums I would take with me to a deserted island. I would see them again if they came to Vancouver, but I am not sure Phish really interests me enough any longer to warrant a 12 hour road trip to the Gorge.

I like U2, but I wouldn't list them as can't miss. I would see them if they ever playing in Portland (which they won't), but they are not worth driving to Seattle to see.
I have a legitimate beef with RHCP. I hope to never see them live. In fact, if they are at Coachella next year, I'll be at a different stage.
I would love to see Coldplay, but I'm not sure I would ever pay for a ticket. If they headlined a festival I was attending, I would be all over it.
I've never seen Metallica. I would love to.
I doubt Pink Floyd will ever happen, so I'm not including them. How crazy would it be if Coachella landed a reunion Pink Floyd show? That would be the definition of rewarding your loyal customers who bought early, and they would sell out every festival the day tickets go on sale in the future.

Pink Floyd will happen eventually. It will be Gilmour Floyd -- Waters wouldn't go anywhere near them -- but it'll happen.

I don't think Waters/Gilmore Floyd will ever happen again. A Watersless Pink Floyd is no Pink Floyd I would want to see (although I would be totally there).

I actually enjoyed The Division Bell but ITS JUST NOT THE SAME MAN.

In fact, I refuse to go see any Pink Floyd show unless they raise Syd from the dead and play "Pow R. Toc H." as their opener.

While a giant disco ball descends from the ceiling, spraying LSD over everyone in the crowd.

Waters/Gilmore Floyd is an opportunity that was lost right around the time I was born. The crappy adult contemporary Floyd that was a touring entity in the early 90's ( Division Bell, Delicate Sound of Thunder) for a while is something that I still hold out hope for just because it'd be 'close enough'. I'd just die to see The Wall, but I'd almost even prefer what's left of Pink Floyd just because it seems somehow (don't laugh) less indulgent.

I'm going to settle on this list for now:
1. Tom Waits 2. The Knife 3. Daft Punk 4. Pulp 5. Portishead 6. Blur 7. Sigur Ros 8. Bruce Springsteen 9. Jay-Z 10. Gorillaz
Although, Soundgarden was on the list for the last couple years, and technically should still be since I won't see them for a couple weeks.
