I'm pretty shocked you've never seen Opeth. I figured you would have seen them multiple times by now. Too bad you never got a chance to see them with Peter and both of the Martins were still in the band

Gah. I want to see Pineapple Thief so bad. Right?? I don't think I've ever known them to tour in the states. I'm sure they have, but I've never seen or heard of any dates

Too bad you never got a chance to see them with Peter and both of the Martins were still in the band I didn't really start going to concerts until about 3 years ago. They've only been through here once since then back in 2009. I missed it that time because I had no money. No way am I missing it this year.

Good call. The first time you see/hear Demon of the Fall and Deliverance live is a life changing experience. Hopefully they play both, but I kinda doubt it :/

Man, that's probably a pretty deep cut for them at this point. Do they still throw it into setlists?

Man, that's probably a pretty deep cut for them at this point. Do they still throw it into setlists? I think they do. Atleast the setlists I normally look at. According to setlist.fm, it's their third most played song.

And the other two songs you listed are the first and second most played.
Probably won't get all three, since this next tour is supporting their newest album. But I know I'll be satisfied even if they don't play any at all.

Though it should be noted that Fiery Furnaces shows are about as "difficult" as "difficult" gets. Haha yeah some people were noticably confused at that show. And since it was a music festival I'm pretty sure half of the people there didnt even know who they were. Again, I still liked it, but I wouldnt rank it super high in my list of shows I have seen in my life.

I've had two arguments with someone on this board who thinks Elvis is headliner worthy at Sasquatch. He's two different dudes live, one part scumbag punk god, and two parts pop pop pop catchy song dude. I much prefer the former, so I didn't like his show. I still think if he played he would headline. They seem to be moving more and more away from legacy acts so I don't see it happening but if he played (with the imposters) he would headline On topic: Of bands that I will probably see in the next couple years Sigur Ros and Neil Young are really the two that jump to mind

-Andrew Bird -Daft Punk -The Yeah Yeah Yeahs -The Cure -Sufjan Stevens -Keane -Miike Snow & Vampire Weekend (I hate myself for missing these two last year at Sasquatch--I peaked wayyyy too early and had to sleep the booze off at like, 4 in the afternoon, thus missing two bands I was really pumped about seeing--I was a fucking noob.) -Sigur Ros -Two Door Cinema Club
