I really dont see how Coachella could be a better overall experience than Sasquatch. It's hotter, dustier, you cant bring beer into the campground (well, you have to sneak it in from what I understand) and it's way more crowded.

You can most certainly bring beer into the campground. You can bring in beer, just not glass bottles.

I have no idea, this was my first year and there was no problem bringing in booze just as long as it wasn't in glass. We had cans of beer and plastic handles of liquor that we got in no problem.

I've driven from Palm Springs to Calgary - I think if I added up all the driving it was 24 hours from there to Calgary. I did the drive over 4 days (I wasn't in a rush, and I was solo, so limited myself to shorter driving days).

I disagree about the lack of garbage bins. They were everywhere. People just can't be fucking bothered to throw their stuff away. You may be right. It might also be that the bins are easier to spot t coachella. Coachella also has workers picking up garbage throughout the day. I don't think i saw that at Sasquatch. Probably hard to get people to do that from a travel standpoint. I don't see any Canadian cigarettes, but still...

I was amazed at how hard those cleaning crews work at coachella. The field was a total disaster when leaving every night, but it was damn near spotless when the gates opened in the morning.

But so was the gorge. That is a thankless job, cleaning up other people's shit at dawn.

I always imagine a giant snowplow/rake just pushing all the garbage down to the bottom.

Was I just lucky or were the honey buckets a million times cleaner this year compared to 2010?

Was I just lucky or were the honey buckets a million times cleaner this year compared to 2010? It really seemed like it to me. Last year they got pretty rank sometimes.
