Souly wasn't getting texts back from anyone Thursday or Friday and then she lost her phone some time on Saturday. So I guess when I texted her "Are you alive?" and never ever got a response back I can chalk it up to, lost phone and not being not alive. Blame it on Guetta, I'm 99% sure.

Hey, Know! Glad you made it back and hope you had a blast! Oh yeah, Miike Snow sucks live, From watching this on youtube it looked like one dynamite of a set to me. I was surprisingly blown the fuck away by them, but maybe all the jazzy camera work enhanced things too.

I was blown away by Miike Snow, they were my second favorite all weekend. Oh yeah, Miike Snow sucks live, I'm chalking up every great thing I've ever heard about them to "high on drugs." ....that might explain it. I lasted two songs at Radiohead and knew it wasn't for me. My friends who are huge Radiohead fans thought it was alright. Did catch all of Paranoid Android while walking back from Kaskade. It seemed pretty solid.

I've only watched the first hour and a bit of that Radiohead set, so far I think it is pretty goddamn amazeballs. I love the camera work and amount of close ups they did for the webcast.
I almost lost my mind during 'Morning Mr. Magpie'. Can't wait to finish the whole thing!

Only one. I'm pretty sure I saw J-Dawg during Jimbo Jenkins, but he walked about 36 paces in front of me and sat down while I was crawled up in the fetal position. I think I had a seizure shortly after, and walked away from the Sahara. I'm 90% sure J-Dawg and I are the only people on the internet who saw Jimbo Jenkins, if that was indeed you. I was there, so it was almost certainly me. Monday I was rocking a black ballcap and a dark-ish green shirt along with white plaid shorts. I definitely didn't see you or I would have said hi. And yes, we are definitely the only 2 people on the internet who saw Jimbo Jenkins. Only reason I was there is because I was waiting to see Morgan Page and I would have felt too loser-ish to go into the empty beer garden by myself and drink beer.

I thought you were wearing a baby blue shirt, and no hat? Oh man, there were only about 14 of us there when I thought I saw you, and I was easily seated the furthest back.

hang on a sec... Trying to remember which day I wore the baby blue shirt. Might have been Sunday...
If I was wearing no hat, you would have seen my shaved head and handlebar moustache... the baby blue shirt said "Bears, #1 threat to America" on it.... if that sounds familiar it must have been me, but I thought I wore that shirt on Saturday... Memories are already hazy.

I checked out Kaskade for a brief moment, but it looked and sounded like every other EDM act in the Sahara, so I went back to Radiohead. I thought Coachella would make the main stage closer special like they've done the last two years, but it was just a typical Radiohead show. I was in San Jose Wednesday night before the festival, and one of my friends saw Radiohead, then rushed to the bar to see the Melvins. We partied with King Buzzo for a couple hours, and all the dude who went to Radiohead could talk about was, "I'm so glad I didn't miss the Melvins tonight." I loved the Radiohead show, but Pea/womp/shax can attest, of the six closing shows on the main stage the last two years, Radiohead is the least memorable.

I loved all your Bears shirts, J-Dawg. I also loved explaining "bears" to everyone in my camp. Other things I explained besides bears: otters, twinks, cosplay and furries. Good times!
Also, I knew sober people into Miike Snow. They were rad.

I was behind the soundboard, closer to the other stages, so if I could stand up, I would be closer to walking where I needed to go. It might have been Pure Filth when I saw you. I saw the the openers from every stage I think, so it was rare looking for a boarder that early.

Are we considering The Black Keys or Swedish House Mafia the closers? In that case you could also say Kings of Leon, because they were pretty lame, even though Chemcal Brothers "closed". It's weird, KOL and the Black Keys were billed higher...but SHM and the Bros had the much bigger crowds, the "closing" spot and the much better shows.
And yes, Kaskade was nothing special. At that point in the night I just wanted to dance and look at pretty lights, and Kaskade was perfect for that.

Disregard Pea, I said main stage closers, not headliners (omit Kings of Leon and the Black Keys). What I meant was (in order); 2011 1. Chemical Brothers (one of the most crazy light/monitor shows I've seen) 2. Arcade Fire (glowing balls dropping from above the stage) 3. Kanye West (opener on the crane, dancers, fireworks) 2012 1. Swedish House Mafia (greatest lazer show ever, by far) 2. Radiohead 3. Dr. Dr/Snoop/Eminem/50/BS/Tupac holocram

Lowlights: -the cold!!! I have never been so cold in my life www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USCA0234Are. you. fucking. kidding. me?!?!?! I was just talking to my brother about how satisfied we are for choosing weekend 2, and then I pulled this up. 'pac's gon' melt. Aww shit, you're gonna die during the daytime but at least that's reasonable for night. Our weather was great during the day but the drastic drop at night paired with wind made for miserable conditions (plus I probably did my drugs a little too early since it wasn't too hot and that made the temperature difference more noticeable. lesson learned.).
