I could have sworn that I read an orgy thread from 2011 a couple days ago. Too high to find it though

I dated a girl I met from Sasquatch for a year long-distance. It was cool for a while, and I think this thread is honestly hilarious. I stumbled upon it and felt like it needs to be revived due to recent events.

I know a girl who met a guy at Sasquatch '15 and they've been dating ever since.
I also know a guy who hooked up with a girl at Pemberton '15 and turns out she was 15.
Moral of the story: check ID

Hooking up at Sasquatch feels like a good idea going into it but there's always a lot of ragrets involved afterwards

Moral of the story: check ID Just want to touch on this fact, there must be some weird growth hormones in the water up in Canada, because every girl I met at pemeberton was 18 and under, but looked at least 21.

Damnit, now it seems like I have experience with underage girls, and meth. Both not true.

From what I understand basically every person at Pemberton is below 20 these days. In 2014 I would guess the average age was 27, the following year probably 22. If things keep going the same way by 2020 it's just going to be a bunch of sperm swimming around a field seeing bands that won't even create music for another 5 years.

I had friends that went 2014, and the feedback was substantially positive, and I went in '15. After hearing about last year, I think you're right. Even if they book a lineup geared towards their original demographic, the kids are hooked on this fest now. Doesn't help that they want to boost capacity to 60,000 this year.

Man, we talk about Pemberton a lot in random threads. And maybe it seems from an outside perspective that a festival with teenagers isn't really so bad. But really, Pemberton is a model for what Sasquatch could potentially turn into, which deeply saddens me.

Even if they book a lineup geared towards their original demographic, the kids are hooked on this fest now. Doesn't help that they want to boost capacity to 60,000 this year. They will never book the same as 2014 again. I still thought 2015 had a solid lineup which was better than Sasquatch but it also drew some of the younger generation and I think they realized it's easier to book for that demographic as the acts are cheaper and tour more often. 2014 was somewhat booked to people that attended in 2008 (me). Despite being pretty horribly run it sold out 40k with the help of day tickets. However the awful organization caused many people to vow never to return and even though it was run by a different company a lot of people that had attended 2008 weren't going to chancey chance it. The only reason it was so great anyway is because it was so under attended. If they got 40k again it probably would have been a similar disaster as 2008. I generally love poorly attended festivals like last years Sasquatch but it's pretty obvious that isn't sustainable so just enjoy them while you're there and accept that either major changes are in the cards or the festival is getting cancelled. Companies aren't just going to go out a lose millions consistently just to put on a festival for "true" music fans.
