Sorry if I was either too drunk or high to interact with you like a respectable human being, but these are my few days out of the year to leave planet earth and act a fooooool, ya heard!? Pea, your my hero! I couldn't agree with this statement more. Most of the people even in my group couldn't converse with me for this exact reason. Bravo! Mission accomplished.

I missed everyone. Except wolfhat, I randomly ended up dancing next to him at Yeasayer; the wolf hat was a give away. Really? I saw dozens if not hundreds of people in Animal hats (at least 10 wolves). I laughed my ass off when a comedian apparently said (I wasnt there, but he was ragging on the people dressed like animals) "Whos canadian (cheers)? Whos america (cheers)? OK here is what we should do, all the canadians over here and all the americans over here and the animals go in the middle. The first team to kill one of them wins"

I ended up (as far as I know) meeting none of you:( I was only there Friday and Saturday and missed the ByClyFri due to the ridiculously long wait to get into the campground. Seriously people, how hard is it to park your car next to the person in front of you? Anyways the girlfriend amd I ended up with the perfect neighbors who perfectly represented what you guys have to say about sasquatch goers. Trevor (or travis?) and Kristi from Portland, if you are out there, it was very nice meeting you!

We ended up camping less than five minutes apart from Souly, Friendly D, Gunther, Gibbons, Peatrick, Fox and Chaco. I spent basically my whole weekend with Friendly D, Souly, Gunther and Gibbons. I think I ended up meeting everyone except Rusty and Geno, who i think were basically trying not to be found anyway. We even found Weak Shit, who is one of the legit nicest dudes I met all weekend. Everyone was very friendly and very sincere and exactly as they had always seemed.
Several times over the weekend I heard people talking about Horned Gramma or, alternately, "that asshole on the internet". It was truly surreal to have complete strangers walk up to a group of people and say, "Is any one of you the Horned Gramma?"
The crazy social aspect this board provided to the weekend was definitely at least 50% of the fun. Holy shit what a Sasquatch that was.

Hey Lump, my phone died by Thursday night and it stayed dead all weekend. I'm sorry I couldn't text you but it was a hoot talking to you on the phone there for a couple minutes. We all missed you and talked about you all weekend. Many, many pictures to follow.

Wish I could have seen you Rusty and Geno and all of you other cats! I did end up seeing a surprisingly large amount of boarders. It was really wonderful.

Unfortunately I didn't meet any of you either but our neighbors turned out to be the coolest damn people I have met in a while, and we instantly became friends. We both had various little things to barter with, which turned out be to very convenient and we even partied and danced almost all the 4th day with them, and I have to say that Skrillex and Major Lazor were absolutely PACKED and one hell of a fun party!
Very very good 'squatch!!!

We all missed you and talked about you all weekend. Many, many pictures to follow. A million hearts to you and everyone else I talked to. 'Twas very bittersweet, because talking to you guys was the first time this weekend that it really killed me I wasn't there. Loved talking to you and Stormy and Souly and Friendly and Gibbons and Cat and Stamper (I really hope I'm not forgetting anyone). I could just tell by the few minutes I talked to you guys how much of a fun weekend that would've been. I'm basically making a promise that I will be there next year. Also, Friendly's complete exuberance over the BiCly set he was just a part of was about as adorable as it gets.

I was especially looking for Fox, Pea and HG, but mainly because I had the best mental picture of them logged away, but still found no one. Actually I literally pooped into Souly and FD, but was barely functioning at that point, and did not want to leave a belligerent impression on them. Also talked to Wolfhat, but when I went to introduce myself, he had already disappeared into the pit, so the conversation went something like, Wolfy: "'scuse me dude, my friends are that way" Rusty: " Oh, sure, no problem man". (at this point I had just realized that he was wearing a wolfhat, and was indeed wolf hat, but it was too late )

I saw way more boarders than I was planning on. I got really busy the week before Sasquatch and forgot to exchange numbers with the regulars, but ended up meeting everyone through Pea and Gramma (who I had already met). It was really funny how close we were camped. Gramma/Stormy were about 10 cars down from me, and Pea/Empty were about a two minute walk. I never even left that third of the campground, so I never saw the BusseyBus stage.
I believe outside of lumpy, I've now met everyone on this board with 1,000+ posts (having met Geno and JWW prior to the festival). Shoot, I might have even met lumpy, since we were camped right next to each other last year without knowing it.
Drew mentioned earlier that his friends were teasing him about his "internet friends" and I know exactly what that is like. My friends who have terrible taste in music know nothing of my online life, so that would be quite the surprise to bring up at Sasquatch. Prior to six months ago, I wouldn't have appreciated internet strangers tapping my shoulder at Sasquatch claiming to know me, so I'm happy I8 played it cool. Having met so many of you now, it's really hard to comprehend why I wouldn't have wanted to meet you last year (oh yeah, because there were only four regulars on the board then?) We're all part of the coolest 15,000 people at Sasquatch (cutting out the 10,000 bros), we just happen to be the ones who can't get away from our keyboards.
Ok, let me see if I can remember this, I met: Empty, Zombiemegan, Dontoro, Mrlahey, Cat, Stamper, Souly, Friendly D, I8, Wompwomp, JDawg, Drew, Bradberad, SWITCH, Switch's brother (don't recall the board name), wolfhat, hecticdialect, and the chick with the Cosby avatar. If I missed anyone, it was a slight oversight, or I was really wasted. I heard there were two females camped near me who are boarders, but I didn't recognize their names (I've been away a lot recently). I re-met Gibbons, Gramma, Stormy, Pea, and Bforeman (thanks for the trippy glasses).
Also, if you don't already know, or find it hard to believe, Gramma is a super friendly guy in person, way moreso than myself. I talk shit even live.
I spent so much time with Friendly D, I literally started talking in a Canadian accent by Monday. I'm not sure he ever caught me doing it, but I caught myself doing it. I made so many Canadian jokes to him and the other Canadians, but they always laughed them off (of course they did, they're Canadian). I hate to play favorites here, because it sounds like I'm saying the other boarders aren't as cool, but Friendly D is one cool mofo. If I ever wanted kids, I would want them to be like Friendly D, only slightly less hairy. It sucks knowing he lives in the middle of nowhere (well, Canada), so I likely won't get a chance to see him until next year's festival.
And finally, thanks empty for giving me a gallon of Vodka which you couldn't bring back over the border. In the next couple weeks, if I ever type long paragraphs about how much I like certain boarders, it's probably because of your donation (hiccup).

I had pretty much the reverse experience. I never knowingly saw or even heard of anyone talking about board things. I did meet fig but I just figured out that it was him today.
The only board reference I made all weekend was when my friends were wondering what to do after Chromeo so I said "Lets go see Paul and Scott in the comedy tent; I gotta do it for Lumpy!"
Oh and Lumpy, the show... meh. I liked it, and I was tired from Chromeo so it was nice to sit. They didnt even stay on for the entire 90 minutes. Most people stood up and crowded around when Reggie Watts was on, which was awesome because I missed his full set the day before. Tig had a really funny part where she had a heckler and she did a few more jokes. She was going to reference a previous joke she got heckled on but was scared of the guy (apparently he was huge) and the guy yelled "Its OK, I'm with you now!"

Mentioned it in the stories thread, but next year I'm determined to put "Drink with boarders" into my personal schedule.
