Just please, please let that Animal Collective rumor be true. That's all I want.

I would be really surprised if Animal Collective is not at Sasquatch! 2009 based on their tour schedule.

I haven't seen anywhere that would dismiss the possibility that Coldplay is not playing Sasquatch! Their last date in New Zealand on both their official website and pollstar is 3/19/09 and their first date after that is in Denmark on 8/16/09, that's a huge gap and plenty of time to do a tour in the U.S. Did you find a site that says otherwise? Dustin is absolutely correct... I got my months and numbers all mixed up. hahahahha, I'm so smart!

I didn't read all nine pages that everyone has talked about. Just wondering if i could get a summary of the confirmed bands at this point.

107.7 is reporting that Coldplay is playing the Gorge on July 11th. Another 'sqatch headliner possibility down the drain.

Here are my random guesses for next year Saturday: Rage Against the Machine (they owe us, no NW shows since reunion) The Decemberists MGMT Hot Chip Pepper Sunday: Wilco Weezer (let me keep dreaming, my buddy got my hopes up last year plus a new album?) The National Rilo Kiley The Shins Justice Monday: Pearl Jam (Northwest flavor in full force) Tool (a dual headliner day perhaps? See Ben Harper/Flamming Lips and NIN/Bahaus 2006) Vampire Weekend Gogel Bordello The Fratellis Queens of the Stone Age Rage would be outstanding, I have wanted to see those guys for so long it's getting weary.

Great, we've seemingly managed to avoid the Killers and Coldplay if this is true. Hopefully Jack Johnson will be out of the country in late May. Not to say that I hate the Killers or Coldplay, or people that like them, but they would be filling one of the 4/6 biggest slots, which would be unfortunate. I will say I hate Jack Johnson though, but I won't say I hate people who like him, that would not be nice since they are so depressed already. I went to Coldplay's website to see if they had a tour date confirmed, and noticed they have pictures of puppets of themselves playing music. So original.

Costello and My Morning Jacket would be awesome. Guess that further heats the Kings of Leon rumour since they are listed. I don't have a good sense for the headliners at all so far this year. At this point I wouldn't be completely shocked to see KOL as a headliner, though I'm sure most would agree they are better suited as a sub-headliner. I agree that not having Coldplay or the Killers is a positive thing, but I would LOVE to see MMJ again. They only had a 45 minute festival slot when I saw them, which is not nearly long enough! As for those who say the complete lineup is already set in stone, I'd have to disagree. Probably most of the smaller local bands are set, as well as the headliners, but there are always changes in circumstances and a ton of middle tier bands who may not even have their tour schedules set yet for May.

No Coldplay and no Killers is a good - no, a great thing.
I'm betting the Decemberists will be there -- it's been three years since their last appearance, and they have a new album out soon.
Wishful thinking: the Black Keys and Modest Mouse.
Morrissey was my first prediction, but I'm pretty sure he has dates scheduled in the UK that weekend.
Vampire Weekend wouldn't surprise me all that much, and I'd call it a good addition.
My Morning Jacket would be the shit.

I'd love to see Beirut make another appearance this year. What are the chances of some big names like U2 or Depeche Mode headlining? They both have new records coming out this year prior to Sasquatch. I have a feeling Pearl Jam might be one of the headliners, but that's probably too much to ask for. I'm hoping if the Kings of Leon rumor is true that they'll be a sub-headliner. I don't think they're good enough to headline at a festival that's trying to become one of the country's elite.

Depeche Mode is in Europe during Sasquatch 09.
U2 is probably too big to play any US festival, especially Sasquatch, where they might have to wear an extra scarf and knitted hat because of the mid 70s temperatures.
Beirut is in Europe the first two weeks of May, and since they are a repeat, I would guess not very likely.
I still like Pearl Jam headlining.

I'd love to see some bigger hip hop performers. Mos Def and The Roots would be amazing.

I so hope KofL is there, headliner or not. I would fucking cream myself if it was them and Pearl Jam!!! I really with the Kooks would be back and Rogue Wave. I can't wait to see who else is going to be there. So fucking excited about this year!!

My guess are the Decemberists, which would be good. Neil Young, which would be fucking awesome!!! And Wilco headlining one night. So I'll guess Franz Ferdinand followed by Wilco on Saturday night. The Decemberists followed by the legendary Neil Young on Sunday night. And finally Kings of Leon followed by Pearl Jam on Monday night. Very wishful thinking, but allow me to dream....... I think we might see Weezer and Oasis substitute for the Saturday or Sunday show however.

I really hope Sasquatch avoids the lineup fiasco going on with Coachella right now. It's friggin' anarchy at the Coachella message boards right now.
