Overall set list based on what I heard (the webcast claimed a 4 song encore, but I only heard 3, though Spitting Venom did seem super long).
Shit Luck Gravity Rides Everything Dashboard Bukowski The View Lampshades on Fire (according to the webcast, new song) Cowboy Dan I Came As A Rat Baby Blue Sedan Dance Hall King Rat Dramamine Wild Pack of Family Dogs Poison (according to the webcast, new song) Float On Here It Comes The Whale Song
Encore: The World at Large The Devil’s Workday Spitting Venom
Overall was pretty impressed on how much they reached into Moon and Antarctica

I missed it dammit!!! Great looking setlist though. "SPitting Venom" is one of the best of the "newer" songs. Did they do the full trumpet solo?
Looking forward to the Guided By Voices broadcast later today!! Archers of Loaf would have been sweet to hear as well, but being that I'm working that ones a no go.

Anyone ever seen the Twilight Zone episode On Thursday We Leave For Home?
Basically, there was a spaceship that crashed on a deserted planet and the people who were on it, what seemed like a whole community, were stuck there for years and, to make sure they survived, lived under the firm-but-caring command of the ship's captain. The episode is about a rescue ship finally coming to get them, and the captain, now used to the absolute power of the deserted planet, refuses to go even as everyone else does. At the end of the episode, he comes to his senses as he watches the spaceship leave, yelling, "DON'T LEAVE ME HERE!" and similar phrases. He changed his mind, but it was too late - he can't go home.
I am that guy right now.

They definitely made sure to pull out a good bit of oldies.
ALRIGHT GUIDED BY VOICES NOW! (Though I wish the PF Tompkins show was being webcast.)

This mix is a lil' off, and it's a bit distracting.

It doesn't sound great...but it's actually similar to the Live in Austin album. It'd be better in person and hammered of course.
I wonder how many scissor kicks he's thrown out by now?

I am indeed! (Although I'll actually see GBV before then in mid-June in Brooklyn at McCarren Pool.)
hehe, "We still get invited to big events. We still drink a lot."
But, I have yet to listen to Chromeo, but they seem like they wouldn't necessarily be my cup of tea based on descriptions, though I know nothing of their quality. Pea loves the fuck out of 'em, though.

Sweet dude.
Yeah there's a lot of love for them, not my bag though. Shitty might be a bit of hard statement, but i don't see anything special in them.
HAHA!! Great scissor kick pic on NPR!
