Yeah my Saturday is a bit different. SRO Radio Dept K-OS (mock me if you must) Then curse the orgainzers and run my ass off to try and see: Aloe Blacc (half), Dan Mangen (half), Trailer Park Boys (half), Wolf Parade (all) And to do that I have to totally miss Local Natives, which I thought would have been fun. Then I am pretty damn uninspired untill Sleigh Bells. Its not that I hate all of those bands, but none of them really make me want to see them either. Anyone know if any of the afternoon bands on saturday are particularly good live? I'm open to sugestions on this one. I'll be at The Antlers and Matt & Kim since I've heard very good things about both of their live shows and I've already seen Iron & Wine. Iron & Wine is great too though. Damn funny guy Also you could always go watch/chant WKD I just want rant about how fucking mediocre I think the Cold War Kids are. Seems like all of their albums are droning series of boring ass, tuneless songs. The only reason I'm slaving through their set is because I'm basically at the mainstage the entire day and I wanna get a good spot for Flogging Molly and The Flaming Lips.

I don't understand sitting through bands you hate to 'get a good spot' for bands you like. Unless you're front and center in the pit there are very few places in the venue that you can't wedge yourself into between acts. Especially mid-day acts when people are running all over to catch bands anyway. And if you want to be front and center in the pit, that's usually a full-day commitment.

I've totally seen Iron & Wine, and they're great. I must say, I quite like this one. I really dont know much about Jenny and Johnny, but people seem to like them, so I will have to give them a few listens. I dont mind Wye Oak and that is around dinner time anyway, so I can always watch from the picnic tables as I eat my food. I might see a tad of Pink Martini just out of curiosity too I suppose. The Antlers/ Iron and Wine/ Matt and Kim part will be a game time decision based on mood, with Matt and Kim ending it regardless. See how my energy is doing for glitch mob and when that ends get in for Sleigh Bells... then Bassnectar. I guess its not really that bad, thanks guys! Edit: I could always pop over to WKD if I need to rest before Sleigh Bells and see how the chant is going too.

Does anyone really think I'm going to get any significant number of people to chant WRONG KID DIED during Bright Eyes? I mean, I'M going to yell it for sure but outside of the board nobody is going to get it and I'm not even relying on most of you fuckers to back me up.

Every revolution starts with one person...
Of course its not gunna happen to any extent, unless all the screaming girls think its the title of an unreleased song or something and start backing you up...

I applaud your dedication, I think it's hilarious that everyone is pumped up for it, but people are starting to act like WKD is going to be ringing through the Gorge. It takes a shitload of people to start an audible chant. Oh well, it has provided good entertainment for the board. Even if I do hear the chant, once the first note of Firewall drops I will be in Sasquatch heaven and nothing else will matter. Bright Eyes at the gorge? YES PLEASE! SO EXCITED!

So, am I hallucinating or did they adjust Saturday evening so bassnectar starts at 11:30 now and doesn't overlap with Death Cab?
What else have they changed?

Is it strange that I'm looking more forward to the people and camping than the actual music? Between the lineup and weird fucking schedule I'm getting less impressed by the day.

Camping is for sure going to be the highlight this year. I finally got around to listening to the entire lineup...it fucking sucks. I think I may be topping the "not remembering shit" scale this year, good thing I always have my camera with me.

Yea, it's easily the most "let's shove as much awful filler in there as possible" I've ever seen. It became painfully obvious when I gave the schedule a good read.
